Part Eight: Loose Ends

Hello!

First of all, I want to apologise for pretty much disappearing from the community lately. I got a new job in March, and it's been taking up a lot of my time - which is fine, because I absolutely love it! It's tiring, though. I haven't wanted to work on anything for awhile, just play.

Anyway, if you're new to project sim state, or just want a catch up, we have an index just for you!

First up, we visit Jane Stacks, who is already graduated and living in the real world.

And her world is about to get shaken up - with a baby!

So where is the father of this nooboo?

Watching sports, of course.

"How can we be losing?!"

A sign of things to come for this couple?

Well, maybe he'll be more useful when he's actually graduated.

Or when the baby gets here.

Then again, maybe not.

Doesn't he look shocked?

Elsewhere in Peach Bay, Ashley is still living in an apartment on his own, waiting for Heather to graduate.

Which generally means he gets to eat and flirt his days away.

I also discovered that there's a glitch on the lot where Ashley cannot pay his bills. Probably because of the seaweed underneath the mailbox.

Anyway, eventually, I'm going to have to move Ashley out of here. But not yet.

Brittany, meanwhile, is not very good at this friend-making lark. For some reason, she hates Julien Cooke. Now we're going to have to spend forever and a day with him knocking our bin over.

Britt mellowed out in the afternoon, though. She invited over Erik, and spent a lot of time just watching the clouds.

And that's it from Peach Bay! Time to head to uni for the last semester!

And of course the campus is alive with last-minute studying!

Or failing that, Martin and Allegra just didn't get up to anything interesting for a short while.

That's obviously the cue to invite everyone over!

And look! Joshua and Sam! You guys liked Sam more than Cherry, and so they are now an item, pretty much. I mean, Cherry's still wearing the ring...but that'll sort itself out...right?

Enough of the plot potential, more good ol' fashioned Sim State drama.

Like fights!

Is no one on this campus happy?

Well, I say that. Castor is clearly smiling. Maybe he enjoys the attention confrontation brings him.

I think the students must know finals are approaching...a lot of them hit the bookcase!

Even Sam, who isn't graduating this semester.

Tiffany, don't you dare rekindle that old romance. You have Jared, and he is one of my favourites.

1

It's okay, though. She went right back to Jared and started dancing.

Yes, that is how Jared dances. And yes, he should never dance where people can see him.

That evening, Martin invited over Jane. A heavily-pregnant Jane - I think the fact she is classed as the 'fat' body type has given her a bigger bump.

"Holy cow, Jane, are you having a baby elephant?"

"Please don't call my baby an elephant, Allegra."

"Yeah, Allegra. I'm sure my baby elephant is going to be handsome and fantastic in every way possible,"

"Martin, it's not an elephant,"

"We don't know that for sure, yet...hey, what if it's twins?"

The next day, Martin's no longer the doting father, but Castor's enemy. And boy, is his professor pleased or what.

"These boys are going to inherit the world...All hope is lost!"

Castor had actually come over to talk to Allegra - his girlfriend.

"Castor, we need to talk,"

"Uh oh, that's never good,"

"No, it's just...everyone else is taking the next step. Getting engaged. Planning their lives together. Having babies," Allegra frowned, "When are you going to put a ring on my finger?"

"I'm sorry, Allegra, I just think I'm too young for that kind of commitment," Castor sighed, "That doesn't mean I'm not serious about you,"

"How can you be serious if you won't commit?"

"You'll have to trust me. And if you can't, then we won't work. Relationships are all about trust,"

"I trust you," Allegra told him, certain, "but please, one day, meet me at the end of an aisle,"

"One day,"

Allegra's wanted to get engaged for many semesters now. Castor hasn't rolled the want for ages. Part of me wonders if they'll ever want the same things - in some respects, these two seem very different from each other.

Anyway, after that, Allegra and Martin graduated. A plus and all, kids!

Drama and smarts!

Over at the sorority, one cheerleader has finally caught Joshua out - without any directions from me!

Cherry caught Joshua cheating. And yet, she's still wearing his engagement ring...

Of course, someone cheating was not a surprise to anyone on campus, and a group of them hit the bubbles.

No use in worrying about what has already happened, I guess?

Or maybe, the past is supposed to be remembered.

Erik and Tiffany broke up ages ago. But they're both still mad about it. And no, I don't know why Tiffany is mad about it - she was in the wrong, afterall.

This game really needs a mutual break-up function.

Anyway, drama time seemed like the perfect time to make sure my placeholders got to know each other. They're going to be the only two on campus for awhile, afterall.

Jeez, I am not going to miss the vast amounts of pizza.

I mean, the girls have some stashed in their inventories, but they really don't need anymore.

And shortly after that, the girls graduated.

"See you in the real world!"

Heather suddenly seems very concerned by the end of her university days...

"I don't have to have kids now, do I?"

Over at the fraternity, Joshua is miserable.

Probably something to do with Cherry dumping him, and keeping the ring.

Wisely, Sam stayed out of his way for a bit, choosing to indulge herself in bubbles.

Have I mentioned I really like Sam?

Eventually, Joshua did stop sobbing on the lawn, and come in to Sam.

"I don't want to graduate. I don't want to leave you behind,"

"Don't worry, Mr Ruben. We'll work something out,"

I must say, these two seem great together! Definitely better than Joshua and Cherry.

"Sam...take it easy...what did Joshua just say to you?"

I don't think Sam likes the idea of being stuck at Sim State for a generation without Joshua, for some reason.

This dude was inside the Llama mascot. And I forgot his name. But Sam was really good friends with him, and it gave me an idea...

"So llama-dude, what do you say? Wanna be a placeholder?"

"I'd be honoured."

"You didn't have to do that, you know," Joshua said, quietly, "You could have stayed here. I'm sure we'd be able to manage without each other."

"Maybe. But I'm on academic probation anyway...I just want to cover all the options,"

"One in five students drops out*, you know," Joshua told her, "There's no shame in it."

"I'm not ashamed of it," Sam smiled, "I'm choosing the life I want to live."

*1 in 5 Student Dropping Out is the current UK statistic. It's up from when I dropped out of university, when it was 1 in 7.

And I really couldn't leave these two separated for a generation now, could I? That'd be unfair.

Plus they're so damn adorable.

"I can't remember why I dislike you, but I do! *slap*!"

"I blame Tiffany!"

"She probably is the reason,"

Llama Dude moved in as placeholder. It makes sense to have a guy placeholder at a frat  - I did only choose Sam because she was the only friend the boys had made.

But she really grew on me <3

Currently, she is still enrolled at the university. So both her and Llama Dude live at the frat.

However, Joshua, Kevin and Castor graduated - though for some reason, Castor was an hour behind everyone else. Go figure.

Time for the final household!

Now this rotation seemed really short - possibly because there are no sims left on campus to invite over!

A lot of the time was spent dancing.

But that was mostly Sam and Jimmy dancing together.

And I'm getting really muddled with this Sam - Sam Thompson - and frat Sam - Sam Curtin. And also, because my name is Sam, I'm just getting completely muddled with thinking there are three Sams. God knows how I managed that.

Fun fact: I still see these three as the best of friends. They started in the sim bin together, and even though I moved two more guys in with them, these three are friends until the end, at least in my mind.

I adore them!

See? I told you not much happened during this household.

No drama or anything.

Well, I say no drama. Cherry did invite herself in.

"How does it feel being the ex of Joshua Ruben, Cherry?"

"I'm not the ex, I still have his ring!"

I really do need to sort that out.

We interrupt everything to bring you Jared and fireflies. Which is really pretty! I love the light of fireflies!

And that's it! Everyone has graduated! I never thought I'd make it this far!

Now I get to play the guys in the so-called real world! And I cannot wait!

Until the first of the 'real world' updates, happy simming! And thanks for reading!
