Summary: Jared's housemates let him know exactly what they think of Tiffany.

He'd come home late, with a massive grin on his face, which wasn't particularly unusual for Jared, but this time, he had an announcement. Forcing his friends to sit on the sofas in the house they shared, he looked like he was about to burst with happiness.

“I'm with Tiffany. It's official,” Jared said, his smile growing wider. There was a stunned silence for a moment.

Sam was the first to speak, “Have you completely lost your mind? What about Sierra?”

Now Jared's smile began to fade, as he shoved his hands deep into his pockets, “You know, when everyone said that me and Sierra were too much, too young, I probably should have listened,”

“Sounds like an excuse to me,” Jimmy stated, raising an eyebrow, “Are you sure about this? You know what Tiffany's like...she's nowhere near as committed as you,”

“You don't know that,” Jared mumbled, “She'll be different with me,”

“That's what all of the guys thought,” Erik sighed, “I thought the same when I dated her,”

Sam stood up, and placed a hand on Jared's shoulder. She'd become the mother figure of the group somehow, in the past few semesters, “It's your decision, Jared. But none of us think it's a good idea,”

“None of you?” Jared demanded, “Ty hasn't even commented on it!”

Everyone in the room turned to look at Ty. He shrugged, “Do what makes you happy,”

Jared grinned at Sam, triumphantly, “See? He gets it! Tiffany is the woman for me!”

With that, Jared headed up the stairs, singing to himself. Sam shot Jimmy a look of exasperation, while Erik put a hand to his forehead.

“He's got it bad,” Erik said, firmly, “And she's going to break his heart.”
