Picspam: More TS3 Stuff

beanstalk_simsWith college all done for the summer, and Rob working most days, I've found I've had far too much free time on my hands. This week, I've lounged around in the garden reading, while keeping an eye on our pet tortoise, Dave, and played far too many video games - Animal Crossing & TS3.
Rob reckons TS3 is less deadly for my laptop that TS2, so I try to only play TS2 in short bursts now. To be honest, I haven't played TS2 "properly" for about a week.
I have been playing TS3, however, and have some more picspam! It's not my usual Summers family, but it's just as fun.
I started a new Sunset Valley - it's the neighbourhood I'm most familiar with, and as a result, 90% of my families live there - and created Lara Carlisle. She's pretty neat.
Her traits - Friendly, Green Thumb, Shy, Ambitious, Great Kisser
The reason I wanted a gardening sim is because I want plantsims, and you have to have 7+ gardening skill in order to plant the Forbidden Fruit you need for plantsims.
Also, she had to gain a hell of a lot of science skill points in order to do some experiments and get the Forbidden Fruit seed, so all in all, it took quite some time to get to the point where she's actually growing the Forbidden Fruit.
Still no plantsims as of this moment in time, because it's currently winter in-game and the plants are dormant.
I'm playing a sort of personal challenge to get as many creatures as possible, and so I've had to expand the family - sims can't be multiple creatures in TS3, and it seems to be hard work to get anyone to be a creature. No accidental creature-making, like in TS2!
So Lara had to find a guy to start a family with. Well, she could have adopted, but she fell for this guy, Todd Chatman. He was the university mascot who danced outside the door for most of Lara's first day in Sunset Valley.
Todd turned out to be quite handsome, so the kids should be adorable.
Also, Todd appeared to be wearing mostly future-themed clothing, so it's now my head-canon that he's from the future, only he came to explore the past and had to get a job as a mascot for the local university. Maybe it's like his gap year or something, instead of back-packing round Europe, future kids back-pack in the past.
He fell in love with a girl from the strange era he was visiting, and ended up staying in the past.
Todd took Lara's last name when they married, making him Todd Carlisle.
For the most part, they live in domestic bliss. In this picture, Lara's studying science in order to get the seed for Forbidden Fruit, while Todd is studying alchemy, because for some reason, that's what he wants to do in life.
Life before kids was seriously functional.
Other than the slight zombie problem. It may just be me, but I think they're starting to surface more often, rather than just on the full moon. Not sure if that's normal or not.
The Zombie Acrobat (top pic) was my favourite!
Anyway, once Lara had given birth to her first child, Steve, the hunt for creatures continued. I just wish the aliens would take someone who could bring me back alien babies! *cough* Todd *cough*
Todd also got refused by a werewolf for the curse, which was disappointing. I guess their relationship wasn't high enough.
Also, Steve grew into an adorable toddler. His traits are genius and friendly (I think).
That's when I made a mistake, and had Lara clone herself by accident. I was messing with the clone feature on the science-thingy she uses, and somehow managed to clone Lara's DNA. I thought it would be fine, the clone will be an adult and I can kick them out and they'll disappear.
Only it turned out the clone was a baby, and now they have to raise it. So this is Lulu, Lara's clone.
Funnily enough, despite being Lara's clone, Lulu has a different hair colour. Other than that she seems the same, only she gets different traits. Lulu has the evil trait, I know that much.
Anyway, Lara is now pregnant with her second biological child - Lulu doesn't count as she has no family tree whatsoever - and has yet to become a creature of any sort.
Eventually, I will get there!
