Krauss Legacy: Gen 2, Part 2
Jan. 16th, 2016 09:04 pm
Hello again! Time for some more Krauss family antics!
Last time, the house got a teeny bit of a makeover, as did Austin, and then it was off wife-huntin' in Windenburg. He made a few contacts for parties - held for Johann and Melanie's birthdays. At these parties, Austin got chatting to Candy Behr. Autsin got on so well with Candy that the two started flirting and she moved in, with a younger sister in tow. A younger sister who started a fire at the end of the last update.

"I have to move out 'cause I'm supposedly a 'fire hazard'? Not cool!"
Well, it was always the plan to grow Yuki up and move her out, she just delayed that with her fiery antics in the last update. We'll probably see her at parties and stuff in the future.

And so life settled into a routine - one of the bedrooms got a makeover for the new couple, and I'm totally in love with it.
"I can't sleep in here!"
"Why not, Candy?"
"You're in this bed! We don't know each other well enough for that!"

Doesn't Austin look pleased at being kicked out of his own bed?

He then took his frustrations out on the DJ booth.
Got to earn those five skills somehow, right?

Apparently, Austin's DJ woke Candy up.
"Dammit, Austin, hurry up and learn to spin!"

Inside, there was a rare moment of romance between Johann and Melanie.
You see, Johann likes to mess with people, meaning he doesn't have a particularly strong relationship with anyone, not even his missus. They're quite adorable, when they're not pulling pranks on each other!

Despite the hiccups in their relationship - the bed issue and Austin's poor DJing - Candy and Austin still get on really well together.
They're so cute!

Besides, there are ways around the bed issue, right?
Naps for everyone!

"This is the best time to use the computer! When Austin's asleep!"
Sims sure do pick their moments. I'm surprised no one has woken up from it yet!

That evening, Mila invited Melanie to a party over at the Bluffs and Melanie finally agreed.
Not really sure a dance party is something you take your elderly mother to, but what do I know?

"What even is this party? Where's the DJ?"

"I MADE IT! LET'S PARTY!"
That's better.

Once the party got started, Melanie let loose a little.
She wasn't the only one who looked slightly too old to party either - check out that guy by the DJ booth. He's easily someone's dad. It's cool to take your parents partying in the sims!

Overall, it was a good night, and a nice little break from the family house.

Back at the house, Candy's learning guitar for a promotion at work, and it sounds awful.
She may be a Spinmaster, but it means nothing when it comes to the guitar.

Once that was done, apparently it was time for the couple's first selfie together.
Not a photogenic pair, are they?

And a first kiss! With lips actually touching! That seems to happen so rarely in my game!

That evening, Austin took Candy out on a date.
Their relationship was developing nicely, but it could use a little help.

Kisses in Windenburg definitely help relationships, right? :)
And as darkness fell, their relationship hit another milestone...

"Candy, we've only known each other for a few days, but this feels right!"
"...where are you going with this, Austin?"

"Candy Behr, will you do the honour of becoming my wife?"
"Oh Austin! Of course!"

It may seem fast, but it also seems right.
I'm very happy these two are together!

Back at the house, and the family celebrated the good news with a makeover for the living room.
And a llama game of course!

The next morning, and Candy sets fire to the kitchen.
Must be a Behr family trait, right?

Only in this case, Candy set fire to herself.
"Is that fire...on my arm?!"

Johann didn't seem particularly bothered by what was going on.
"Can you keep it down? It's still early."

Candy survived, thanks to Melanie, but she ended up super grumpy as a result.
"I stink and breakfast is ruined."
How she started a fire from scrambled eggs, I have no idea.

Once Candy had cleaned herself up, she had breakfast made by Melanie to save her the risk of another fire.
"Seeing as you nearly died this morning, Candy, I think maybe we should get married this afternoon."
"What? I didn't 'nearly die', I just had a culinary mishap."
"So you don't want to get married."
"That's not what I said!"

It seems like most of Austin and Candy's friends don't really know how to dress for a wedding.
Looks more like a night out in Windenburg, right?

Buy chairs, no one sits down.
What did I expect from a sims wedding?!

"I lost my job on my son's wedding day! Pay attention to me, I'm sad!"
Melanie sure does pick a moment to find herself unemployed!

Anyway, despite all the interruptions, Austin and Candy tied the knot.
Candy changed her name to Candy Behr-Krauss, because Candy Krauss sounded too much like Candy Crush.

"Well, at least we got our money out of these two seats."
It was pretty much a waste of time buying any chairs.
And now the Krauss family bring you: celebratory nap time:

Seems like almost everyone needed a nap, even the groom!
It's probably the only time I've seen so many naps at a party!

Outside, Candy was providing the entertainment at her own wedding.
And it was awesome!

After the party ended with a gold medal, Austin and Candy headed off to their room to get started on the next generation!
Let's give them some space and check out the house!

The garden got a teeny bit of landscaping - couple of hedges, a tree, a swimming pool.
I really like how it looks, I hope the others in this legacy do too!

This is what the inside looks like at the minute. When the kids start arriving, the nursery will take up space on the left hand side of the living room :)
I'm pretty pleased with it.

Back inside the house, and Johann is working out with the dishwasher.
He's not energized or anything! It puzzled me, until I realised he has the Athletic trait :)

And then Finn dropped by - one of the spares!
He just stood around in the living room, smiling at nothing. Weird little guy.

Austin, who let his brother into the house, had apparently wandered to the corner of the neighbourhood to put his plate down.
And stayed there playing games. I have no idea!

Elsewhere, Candy was getting some good news.
Generation three is on its way!

Candy ended up wandering to the corner of the neighbourhood to talk to her husband.
"So, I got some good news this morning, Austin...we're going to be parents!"

"NO! Why me?!"
"You're not happy?"
"No, I'm horrified!"

"Ha, jokes, I'm okay with it."
Well, good, because it's happening.

That's all I have for this time!
See you soon for BABIES!
