First time playing rotations in the Sims 4, here we go! I am cross-posting these pictures at tumblr in queue format, for people who prefer that to chapters.

We're beginning with Spring for the McMullens, Jo McMullen and her alien roommate Norah Titan. :)

Don't they look thrilled to be here?

Well, Norah looks a little bit more excited than Jo.

Jo and Norah moved into an apartment with a balcony, which I have never played before.

I absolutely love the balcony! I have no idea what I'm going to do with it yet, though.

Norah, being active, immediately goes out to play basketball. With Mortimer Goth, who is apparently into short shorts!

The Welcome Wagon was two of the sims I made, Dusty & Adora, plus a random selection of townies.

I think the guy on the far right actually lived in the building before I booted him and him mother (?) out to make room for Kirby.

Jo immediately gets on well with both girls, which I'm excited about as I'd love for them all to be good friends!

"You can leave the fruit cake outside. Where it belongs."

Fun fact, Dusty is probably the only sim I've ever had who liked the fruit cake.

Norah came in from basketball, ignored all the company they had, and hid in her bed. Apparently something embarrassing happened whilst she was shooting?

I hear they can die of embarrassment, I really don't want that happening any time soon.

Norah did eventually come out and introduce herself, bonding with Adora whilst they blocked the TV.

I haven't realised quite how long Norah's nose is before?!

There's nothing quite like a quick, post-dinner work out, is there?

"Do you think we should have maybe gotten jobs today?"

"Oh yeah. That might have been a good idea."

Their first day was almost over when I remembered that they'd need a source of income. Not sure how I managed to forget that?!

Jo took a job in Politics, which led her to supporting the No Sim Left Behind charity and promoting her cause daily to anyone who will listen.

Meanwhile Norah joined the Social Media career, and immediately set about making herself an account and gaining some followers.

And so ended the first day of Spring. A productive day, all in all.

Morning is pretty boring when all of your sims are at work.

Also I think it's supposed to be foggy but my poor laptop just looks like it can't be bothered to load the landscape! My laptop's getting a little bit on the old side now, unfortunately.

Apparently, Norah's that nosy neighbour who will immediately come out and start talking to you if she hears you're outside.

Poor Dusty and Adora just wanted their post. Dusty does not look amused at having to socialise.

That evening, the Humour and Hijinks festival was happening in the Arts Quarter. I sent the girls along even if they're not really jokers nor pranksters. They look so impressed.

"Who holds a fesitval in the rain?!"

"Who forgets her umbrella when it's raining?"

"Should we really be drinking glowing liquid just because it's free?"

I think yellow is the Jokesters team, but I can't remember. I really am a TS4 noob despite having completed a legacy.

And the award for Best Dressed Townie goes to...

Seriously, what is going on there??

I think there were originally people at the bubble blower to talk to, but they all left and Norah ended up coughing up bubbles by herself.

I'm not even sure what Jo was doing at this point. Not helping the Jokesters win, that's for sure.

"I accidentally ate meat and now I'm sad and sick."

I kind of forgot to check if what I had Jo order was vegetarian-safe, and now I feel bad. I thought it would stop me from ordering her meat dishes but apparently not!

The Jokesters won, with no help from Jo or Norah, and finally, the girls could stumble home to bed.

Both of them are shattered, plus Jo is feeling sick and soaked to the skin as I forgot to give her an umbrella. Maybe not the best night for them, overall.

Morning brings more rain, and Jo takes her breakfast out onto the street.

I could understand eating outside if it was nice weather, I really don't understand eating fruit salad in the rain.

Both Jo and Norah are working from home for the day, which gave them a bunch of tasks to do. Norah's required a trip to the Arts Quarter, so Jo tagged along.

Apparently there's some sort of one woman protest going on.

Jo and Norah join in. I did assume it was the same cause Jo is working for initally, but now I think I was dead wrong about that.

There were quite a few of them chanting and waving signs by the time the pair left the Arts Quarter.

That evening, Dusty invited Jo out to a pub in Windenburg for Alien Night.

Yup, you read that right. Dusty invited the non-alien roommate to Alien Night. Norah stayed home and missed out on discount drinks.

At least Dusty looks embarrassed by the mix-up.

Socialising is just exhausting, honestly.

"I feel like I know someone who would appreciate this night more than me..."

Another day passes. The days where both of them are in work just fly by, with both of them earning a promotion or two.

I probably should have written down when they got promoted, and what they got promoted to. Next rotation, I will. All I know is, Norah was a Click Bait Writer for a little while.

Looks like Norah's starting an alien basketball team.

It's going to be awhile before they're any good, though.

Jo, meanwhile, is befriending people, no matter how unfriendly she looks. This is Miko and she is just adorable.

Everyone seems to be entering the Spice Market carrying food? Where are they getting it from??

That night, Jo and Norah were invited to the Bluffs - it's Dance Party time!

Usually the Bluffs are really pretty, but the weather wasn't so great, and my laptop wasn't feeling so great, so the sky looks so blank and sad!

Norah is so good at this partying hard thing.

Jo also napped instead of joining the party, only she chose a comfy hedge instead of a stone bench.

I just noticed she and Norah are wearing matching boots. How cute!

Norah woke up in time for a quick dance before the party was over and the pair of them headed home for the night.

The Spice Market has a raccoon problem...

Jo and Norah's flat has the "Needs TLC" lot trait, which hasn't actually been that bad. This is the first time I've had to have either of them look at the pipes.

I think the worst one at the moment is the moodlet where something smells, because I can't work out how to fix that when it happens.

The evening Jo and Norah invited over Dusty and Adora was the one time I saw a rodent, predictably.

It was quite easy to deal with, but I don't think anyone will want to hang out in the apartment for awhile.

The morning of Love Day, Jo starts a protest in the Spice Market.

And looking at the logo on her sign and shirt, it's the complete opposite of the logo at the protest she joined the other day. Did Jo protest for both sides of a movement?

My bad.

Norah, meanwhile, had been befriending Miko over the phone the past few days, and decided to make a move on Love Day as they'd been getting on so well. She chose a tulip for Miko.

Miko hated the tulip.

Romance is saving the girl you have a crush on from the rat running around in your flat.

Best Love Day ever, right?

Norah's gift for her crush fell flat, and Jo got stinky.

This is not the first time I saw a sim trying to fix this thing. I thought originally it was part of Jo and Norah's "Needs TLC" lot trait, but I saw Adora trying to fix it when I was playing Dusty later on.

It breaks down a lot, but what else can you expect when you live in the cheapest apartment building I guess.

That night, Dusty and Adora were invited over again. The four of them are pretty good friends now - this was before I added Kirby to the save, otherwise I would have tried to include her, too.

I've never ever used the "give key" function, but it looked like fun in other people's games, so I had Jo give Adora a key, as she likes Adora a tiny bit more than Dusty.

On the last night of the rotation, Miko invited Norah out for karaoke which I thought was pretty neat. Miko sounded great, Norah less so, but it was fun all the same.

Maybe there's still hope for these two yet!

And that's it for Jo and Norah! Next up, Spring for Dusty :)
