Last time, the Embers enjoyed a relaxing and low-key winter! They spent it on vacation in Mount Komorebi; sledding, skiing and hiking. They spent Winterfest together while they were away before heading home. Caroline grew into a child towards the end of the season.

Glimmerbrook is looking kind of gloomy upon arrival! Not exactly good weather for welcoming a new member to the family - one of the kittens from the McMullens! This is Geppetto, named by the game, and he's Friendly, Fluffy and a Glutton.

So where are Elsie and Morgyn whilst Caroline is meeting the kitten?

They, er, haven't made it out of bed yet this morning.

Elsie and Morgyn do eventually leave their bedroom, giving Morgyn a chance to read to Caroline for her aspiration while Elsie eats breakfast.

They're a very cute little family <3

And today, they're off to spend time together at the Festival of Youth!

I've never actually been to this festival with someone who had children, so this should be interesting!

Morgyn's starting the festival off with some ice cream, which would honestly be my first choice of activity too.

I must admit, I don't come to this world very often, but it's very pretty. Definitely considering having a member of the next generation move here when they grow up!

Anyway, while Morgyn and Elsie take in the scenery, Caroline is hunting for void critters.

Because why befriend other children when there are void critters to collect?

While Caroline was doing that, Morgyn got squashed by a vending machine!

I've never actually seen it happen in my own game, and I was terrified Morgyn was going to die, but they survived, thankfully.

After all that, Caroline got a rare capsule from the mascot. I can't remember which simmi was inside, but it did inspire me to get a few more for Caroline.

There's now a small collection of simmi toys in Caroline's bedroom. I doubt I'll manage to get the whole lot.

Anyway, I think the family enjoyed their day out.

Everyone goes home to bed, only the monster has decided it wants company.

I guess I forgot to put in a night light.

Caroline calls upon Morgyn to help sort out the monster, and then they tucked her back in after taking care of it. Which totally melted my heart, I love this family <3

Despite this, the pair of them were still up at 4am.

Oh well, at least it's an opportunity to read together.

Monday arrives, and Caroline is off to school while Morgyn goes to work, leaving Elsie with quite a bit of free time.

So she heads out on a hike, seeing as she quite enjoyed one while on holiday last season.

While wandering up to the mountain shrine, Elsie gets a baby bump - she and Morgyn are expecting their second child!

She also got a moodlet saying this was a terrible hike. No idea why.

At least I enjoyed looking at the scenery, I suppose!

Later that day, Caroline came home with a project.

She's already an A student, so there's no real urgency to finish it off.

Morgyn then received a phone call challenging them to a duel.

Maybe no one told this random lady that Morgyn is a former sage, and pretty difficult to beat.

Even so, being in the realm gave Morgyn a chance to pick up a few things from the stores. Plants for the garden and so on.

Oh, and they also picked up something for Caroline while they were out.

"...so you're going to be a big sister, and to celebrate, we got you a little something," Morgyn explained.

Elsie smiled, "We got you your first familiar."

Say hello to Caroline's new Phoenix!

I wasn't sure if children could have them so I thought I'd test it out. But there doesn't seem to be much reason to have one at the moment. I really wish they'd put in something for child spellcasters.

Geppetto also picked that moment to grow up, and oh goodness I love him!

A new day arrives. Morgyn and Caroline are out, leaving Elsie home alone. And she's feeling very pregnant by the looks of things.

Elsie spent the morning planting things Morgyn brought back from the realm - including a death flower, although it won't bloom until winter.

She's enjoying gardening, while I'm sat here wondering if Glimmerbrook is always this gloomy.

That afternoon Venus dropped by unannounced, and I realised how much I've missed having her around <3

Elsie's not the only one with a friend over - Caroline brought home Brianna Caliente. They're the only two playable kids in the save at the moment, they have to stick together.

Caroline also spent the evening working on her aspiration. I determined to finish it this time - I haven't had a kid in the save finish Whiz Kid yet.

Another gloomy morning arrives - welcome to Glimmerbrook, we like the colour grey!

This grey day is also Morgyn's birthday, they're an adult now !

Also did I mention Geppetto got a sweater?

Guys! Look! The sun is out!!

I was so excited to see the sunshine after almost a week of gloom!

Morgyn took the day off, and the couple decided to make the most of that.

Naturally, the minute they got in the shower I got the pop up to say Elsie had gone into labour.

It's a boy!

This is Tarin. Pretty sure I took the name from Link's Awakening, and which I really need to go back to and play some more at some point.

And naturally, Tarin was a toddler moments later.

He got the Silly trait, and I love him very much.

I'm just melting from the cuteness, don't mind me.

So because Cassandra is also a spellcaster, Elsie vaguely knows her and is able to invite her over to hang out.

Magical Parents Meeting or whatever!

More just an opportunity to introduce these two to one another!

I love having multiple toddlers in the save at once, play dates are just so cute!

I think Tarin prefers the ball pit to socialising, though.

<3 <3 <3

It has now occurred to me that I probably should have put Tarin in red, to match his family. I didn't notice they almost have a theme going on until I was looking through the pictures later.

Oh well, I like Tarin in yellow.

Happy Love Day!

Elsie's giving Morgyn a rose she grew herself, which is sweet <3

There isn't really time for a date this Love Day, there's two children who need someone to play dolls with.

It's Saturday, and the final day of the rotation!

And it was spent mostly in the garden, spending time together.

Caroline had Brianna over, they're pretty good friends now.

Caroline is also pretty close to completing her aspiration, I should be able to manage it before her birthday next season!

Apparently Cassandra wanted to finish off this update with a duel, as she phoned up and challenged Elsie.

Cassandra lost. She's a low level compared to Elsie!

Anyway, that was spring with the Ember family!

I think their family portrait might be my favourite this season! They're just so cute and nice to play!

One more spring update and then we can move onto summer - we'll be dropping by the university!

See you soon!
