A New Legacy, A New Start
Dec. 29th, 2009 02:49 pmOkay, I've had some crazy ideas before, but this one I'm sure of.
Well, the exchange went down the other day, and I took one look at my old legacy, Superman's Legacy, and thought there was no way I could keep it going without the exchange. I know how to make Slideshares - but all of the pics were medium and looked silly in a powerpoint. It wasn't going to work without large pics.
I got frustrated - I'd shot an entire plotty bit with medium sized pictures, and if I converted to using slideshare then and there, the whole lot would have to be retaken. I didn't want to do it. There were some shots I couldn't replace, and I didn't fancy sitting there taking the same pictures again on a larger size.
Then, when the exchange did go back up, I was relaxed, and started to read through some of my old work. Most of the photos in the two chapters I had to publish in a LiveJournal didn't work anymore, and the writing/graphics was awful. I couldn't stand it.
So I started again. New Legacy, new start.
The Wrongway Legacy! The founder, Jim Wrongway, was a sim I created ages ago when I first installed The Sims 2. I've reinstalled sims since then, and lost him, but I created a new sim with his basic genetics - blonde hair, green eyes, etc. Only this time, I used CC, and rolled his aspiration - which once was Knowledge, and now is Family. I set his personality to 5/5/5/5/5, so he's not the Jim Wrongway I used to play, but a new version.
I am loving playing this legacy, more so than the Supers at present time. I figured that if I was enjoying playing it more, then it would become apparent in my writing. :) All is good.
Look out for the Wrongway Legacy - coming soon! :D
