Part Two: The Thayer and Cameron Families

The Thayer Family



Meet Griff Thayer. He's a Knowledge sim and fairly poor. He also lives on Lyndon Hill, near the Robinsons and the Loreens.

I also apologise for how much this segment jumps around a bit - not much happened to Griff Thayer this week.



I mean, people came over and ate his jelly, hung out on his sofa, and then left and never phoned him again. Pretty standard stuff really.



On Tuesday, instead of buying a business - because he really can't afford it - Griff goes to visit one of the other businesses in Rubix. And finds himself at The Venue, in deep discussion with Rose Schweber. Who turns out to quite like him.

And yes, that is a heavily pregnant Jo Loreen in the background.



Well, I say nothing much happened to Griff this week. He got abducted, which is unusual. I don't get a lot of abductions in my games. 



The aliens brought Griff back with the added bonus of a green baby.



The next day, Rose Schweber comes over, and it turns out she has chemistry with Griff. So I'm pretty sure you can guess what I'm going to let them do. Seeing as I like natural couples and all.



It isn't long before Griff's pregnancy starts showing. How will Rose take that one, I wonder?



Unsurprisingly, she's fine with it. The power of love, people.







Griff and Rose are very sweet together. So naturally, rings were involved and the couple got married. So what did they do to celebrate their union?



Went straight back to looking for aliens, of course! Knowledge Sims, no? 



Of course, their search for E.T is interrupted by a certain alien making an appearance. Yay, green babies!



It's a boy! The second boy born into Rubix. This is Titan Thayer. And quite clearly he's going to take after his Space Daddy. I forgot to put in my default PT when I sorted out my downloads the other week.



The week ended with Titan turning into a toddler. I did warn you that the Thayers would be brief and jumpy.


The Cameron Family



La Shawn's week started by arguing with Rose Thayer. Typical, really. I have no idea how it happened - Rose was just part of the Welcome Wagon.



And Jo Loreen let herself into the house just to show off how heavily pregnant she is. I didn't think Jo was outgoing enough just to waltz in to people's places, but apparently she is.



Just your average day in Rubix. La Shawn doesn't seem bothered by the romance or the sobbing.



Woo! A second fire!

I mean, dammit, La Shawn, learn to cook...

Luckily, her kitchen was fine. Because La Shawn can't afford to replace it.



Bored of having La Shawn on her own, because none of the local boys took her fancy, I have La Shawn adopt a child. I guess it's probably a good thing La Shawn hasn't fallen for anyone, this week has been a lot of romance!



The next day, Berjes arrives. No, I didn't pick his name. No, I don't have any idea how to pronounce it. I'm imagining it's something like Burgess, but I don't know.



It turns out, La Shawn and Berjes have rather different expectations of adopting.

"Can I read you a story, Berjes?" 

"Nah, I'm watching tv."



They're trying, though. They weren't quite friends by the end of Berjes's first day at the Cameron house, but close enough.



La Shawn also has no shame in beating a child at Rock, Paper, Scissors. Then again, I do find that the game seems to be luck most of the time. Or that's my excuse for losing, anyway.



Overall, Berjes seems quite happy to have a home. He's an Aquarius, so he's got playful points.

He'd fit in great with the Robinsons, right?



As the week drew to a close, La Shawn did start trying to make some friends. Like Craig Ray here. They seemed to get along well.



Really, really well. 

But their friendship will have to progress in week three.
