Not An Update

beanstalk_simsWell, my laptop's had to go into the shop. To be honest, it's needed to go for awhile, the casing is broken, the port for the power cable is loose, the hinge is broken and the battery needs replacing, but now the fan has broken and I have to get it fixed, because it's overheating far too quickly. I had some spare money this month, so I thought "Why not?" In the meantime, Rob has leant me his, because he prefers his desktop anyway.
The last things I did before my laptop died were - a) get enough pictures for an OWBC update, b) get enough pictures to post the beginning of my Trailer Park Challenge and c) get some pictures of the Wrongway 'hood.
I've been rebuilding it. Old Mirage was a mess, and I was getting frustrated with it, so I decided to start over. Yes, I like making life hard for myself. And while the 'hood will still technically be known as Mirage in the story, I've actually titled the new 'hood "New Rubix", as a throwback to the original Wrongway 'hood, Rubix.
So here's some picspam of the main lot!
I should probably also give a warning so things being a wee bit spoiler-y. I mean, Romeo and Oscar have been introduced into the story, but in game, Romeo is currently a teen while Oscar is a child. Oh, and their little sister is about - Sierra hasn't made her debut yet. So you've been warned.
So the new house. I didn't build it, I was far too restless to concentrate on something as important as the main lot for the legacy, and moved the family into this gorgeous house from MTS. If anyone wants it, I do have the link somewhere.
I thought the modern appearance would suit the look of Mirage. The desert has quite a modern style to it, or it did when I build the first Wrongway house in Mirage - the main lot. Which was so big and annoying to play, to the point where I got really fed up after Lance and Leda turned into adults, and moved Lavender in with Hex.

The nursery is in the top left, and is going to be turned into Sierra's bedroom when she ages up. As she's the only girl, she's not sharing. This is the first generation where I've only had one girl, too, other than generation two. And this is the first time a boy has been born first into the main house.
The bedroom in the bottom left is Romeo and Oscar's, they're having to share. It's not that bad, there's plenty of space. It's not like it's a small room - it's much bigger than Lance and Leda's and they shared for the whole of their childhood.
Most of the house came this way, I just altered a couple of bits and pieces - the wallpaper in the boy's room, and in the girl's room, little things like that.
The bottom floor is all open plan, which is pretty cool. I might put some half walls in later, just to split it up a bit, but at the minute I think it's alright.
Also, if I need more space for bedrooms in the next generation, I will convert the garage.
The house also has a nice garden.
Oscar approves of the hammock. xD
Romeo isn't up to much yet - I am planning to find him a girlfriend - but in the meantime, he's studying. Because he's a Knowledge sim and he likes that.
Part of the reason I think I shall send him to college.
You didn't know Maddie was tub pirate? Me either - I'd completely forgotten until I found her doing this. Quite a few Wrongways are playful, though. Must be a family trait.
I've also noticed from these pictures that I haven't added Maddie's tattoos yet. I shall do that when I get the chance.

I'm not actually sure whose genetics she has, all I know is that she has Maddie's nose and John's brow - because she doesn't have Maddie's forehead of doom. (Maddie definitely inherited her father's fivehead)
Anyway, that's all I have to offer on the Wrongways at the moment, but I do plan to throw an update, OWBC or TPC, at your way sometime soon. In the meantime, fingers crossed my computer doesn't take too long to get fixed!
