Part Three: Rings Don't Mean A Thing

Hey everyone, I'm back again with more Sim State chaos!

If you've missed an update or whatever, you'll find all the parts on the index page.

We rejoin the Bright Household to find everything as it should be. You know, before the awkward romances that ruined friendships in the last rotation. So all is well, and that makes me happy.

Also, Allegra got a new hairstyle this round. Mostly because I'd just downloaded it, whilst thinking "That is very much Allegra!"

Do you ever find that you download things with a certain sim in mind?

Meanwhile, Jane rolled the want to propose to Castor Nova. And with the new rule I stated last rotation, couples won't get engaged until they roll the want.

I like Martin's reaction to the news - a confused expression.

Which is appropriate. Just last semester Jane was kissing Martin instead of Castor. Well, that's the way things go.

I heard "falling-in-love" chimes upstairs, and I went to look, confused - Martin and Allegra are all ready in love!

Turns out Allegra's fallen head over heels for Castor. Brilliant.

Well, as long as it was a one time thing and Jane never finds out about it, things will be fine.

Also, she rolled the want for a flower-making table and I agreed. Because I can totally see Jane opening a flower shop after uni is done.

Also, do cheerleaders normally hang out in the house when everyone is out?

"I'm going to study until they get back and THEN spread school spirit!"

Seriously, normally sims just go home. This girl takes her role as cheerleader very seriously.

Well, crap.

I don't even know what happened; I wasn't paying too much attention.

Well, it seemed like that engagement didn't last long.

I've decided I don't like Castor very much.

"Why did this have to happen?!"

I don't know. But you better not spend the entire rotation kicking our bin over.

Sigh. And we're back here, with the housemates disliking each other.

Of course, Allegra's not really helping herself. At all.

Castor started this fight. Clearly he took the break-up really hard.

"Hmm. I wonder what all that noise is downstairs?"

Martin kept out of the way completely - sensible man! But he doesn't realise his girlfriend was making out with another man. Yet another development to keep an eye on.

I do feel bad for Jane.

It's nearly the end of her time at university, and she's just lost her potential-spouse.

I want to fix things or something.

So it's back to the chessboard to try and repair a friendship.

It takes awhile, but I'm willing to put the effort into it. I want Allegra and Jane to part on good terms, in the end.

The rotation ends with everyone passing. Jane is in her last semester!

Next up is the Tri-Var girls!

The sorority is so fancy you've got cheerleaders to support your work outs! Yay!

Anyway, the next morning, a bunch of the other students are invited over. Because I always seem to do that in the sororities and frats - I mean, they have the space for all of the sims to hang out.

Of course, madness usually unfolds.

Like Brittany *trying* to make a move on Erik Swain, the boyfriend of Brit's housemate, Tiffany.

Brittany's naturally low mean points make conversation difficult with EVERYONE. It's a wonder Brittany has any friends, really. And yet, I still love her.

"So the plan is for us to sit down and keep out of everyone's way!"

The best way of avoiding drama. I'm not surprised to find Kevin and Jared keeping out of the way, they usually do, but Jane does surprise me.

You know what amuses me? Just because they're in different rooms, Sam doesn't register her boyfriend flirting with Heather Huffington. But there's an archway. She can see them. But the game doesn't take that into account.

"Hmm, I get the feeling I should react to what I'm seeing."

Jimmy and Heather bring a whole new meaning to the phrase 'sneaking around behind your back'.

I expect this all to blow up sometime soon.

This pizza epidemic is REALLY getting on my nerves! Pizza on ALL the available surfaces!

Pizza upstairs? Not good enough. Heather brings back another one.

Maybe the girls will share it.

But, oh, wait, no more than a few minutes later Brittany returns with her OWN pizza.

Seriously. I can't even begin to theorize why these girls haven't put on any weight.

That night was Toga Party night, because the girls kept rolling wants for it. Although, quite a few of the guests ignored the dress code.

Oh, and then something unexpected happened.

Dammit, who has Tiffany jumped into bed with?!

Castor Nova. Really starting to dislike this guy.

Oh, and of course, my opinion of Tiffany has somewhat lowered.

This makes no sense to me! I mean, I know Tiffany has a crush on Castor when you first open the lot at the beginning of the game...

But why now?!

Was it because he just left Jane?

TOO SOON BRITTANY.

Erik Swain goes through a heartbreak, and within minutes, his not-so-secret admirer has moved in. I wish Brittany the best of luck.

Oh no. You're barking up the wrong tree there, Tiffany.

Oh yeah. Heather got bored of Jimmy and went back to her usual and favourite lover, Ashley Pitts.

You know, I think these two work really well. Despite the fact they're *just* friends of course.

"This is a party and you're STUDYING?"

I like the fact Allegra and Martin keep themselves right out of the drama when they're not at home. Save it all for your own rotation, apparently!

"Thanks, Tiff, for wrecking things with your boyfriend so I have a shot!"

Brittany Upsnott: Queen of Subtlety. And she's quickly becoming one of my favourites.

Tiffany took the break-up really hard. Which doesn't make a lot of sense, it was her fault.

These things wouldn't happen if I took more control of my sims. And yet somehow, I don't plan on changing my playing style anytime soon.

The semester ended with good grades all round.

Over to the Frat boys!

This is the ONLY evidence that these guys are at college. Kevin studying. No one else ever bothers, they just fill up their bars by going to class

Meanwhile, the other guys invited loads of people over. And Joshua, who had been making out with cheerleader, Cherry Lee, in the last update has stopped rolling wants for her, and started showing attention to Tiffany Sampson.

I have no idea why things happen the way they do.

Have Castor if you want, but ALL of the frat guys but one? Unacceptable! You're a KNOWLEDGE sim!

The next day (after nothing became of that one flirt with Tiffany, thank god), Kevin invited over his three-bolt girlfriend over.

For a very good reason...

He rolled the want to propose! So of course I allowed that! Three bolts! So excited!

Later that day, Castor invited his latest squeeze over. I think these two are going to be an item somehow.

"Hey, do you think we should clean the house up?"

"Nah."

Seriously. The Frat House is a mess

Also, this Gym guy scared me. He started smiling once Kevin was bending over. Is that not a little creepy?

I don't know. He left pretty quickly after that.

And the semester ended. The Frat brothers weren't that interesting this rotation. But they all passed and Dean's Lists and stuff.

Anyway, the Freshman! My final house in the rotation! Who are still living in the dorm, because I was too lazy to move them.

Let's play a game. What's wrong with Jimmy's want panel?

He wants to romance Sam, but he wants to MARRY Heather.

And usually, I let these guys fulfill their engagement wants. But I have no idea what to do here.

I guess we'll just see how things go.

Elsewhere on the lot, Ty has started talking to his ex-partner, Nery. Yay for no hard feelings!

Who knows, maybe they'll get back together

Boundaries, there are none.

I do wish Jimmy would pick a girl and stick with her. Though I have a feeling that if he picked Heather, he'd be upset, because she's nowhere near as serious about as he is.

And here is the one thing you'll find Jared doing a lot of - gazing lovingly at his fiancé. They're so sweet together

Erik invited Brittany over, as he rolled the want to appreciate her. I'd forgotten that 'bold' sims act differently to compliments - Brittany clearly agreed with every word Erik said!

She still likes to hinder her own happiness, though.

Erik had flirts queued, but she wouldn't stop dancing. Her loss, no?

Meanwhile, Jared gets to know Nery. Because Ty and Nery are back together, and I picture Jared being the Best Man at Ty's wedding.

Likewise, Ty would be Jared's Best Man.

They're like the best of friends, I love it.

Slowly making progress! I'm really starting to adore these two!

I didn't think Brittany would ever be with Erik, but Tiffany really let everything fall into place for her sorority sister!

I'd forgotten that sometimes Dormies went invisible. Is there a fix for this, does anyone know?

Sam's in class? Quick, invite Heather over.

Oh dear, Jimmy's got it bad for Heather Huffington.

"Cool! We got a double bed!"

Again, boundaries, there are none.

You know, something tells me these two are DEFINITELY back together.

Which is awesome. Not even a cow mascot can separate them!

I am really starting to like these two together!

They've made really slow progress, it's almost like Brittany knows and respects the fact Erik is recovering from a broken heart! It's adorable :D

"Guys, Sam's back..."

And she didn't react. At all.

It's almost like she *knows* her boyfriend is sneaking around, but she doesn't want to admit it, because he's the first serious boyfriend she's had or something. Or she loves him. Or something.
