Glitches, Genes and Possible Rebuilds
Jul. 23rd, 2010 07:51 pmHello! Now that the summer's here I have more time to waste on sims - because it is way too hot to move, and I have several hours to kill at night due to my strange sleeping patterns. So I've decided I'm going to blog about it too. :P
Bodyshop is playing up recently on my computer, and refusing to load, so I haven't been able to back up any of my sims. This is frustrating, especially as I might have to rebuild the Wrongway's neighbourhood soon - I loaded the Wrongway lot yesterday to find Grace's face all glitched up, which was fixible with a mirror.
The Wheeler lot (Elizabeth, Knut and Austin) was affected too - Elizabeth's skin tone was zombie, until you reached her neck, from the neck up, she had her old skin tone. I managed to fix it using the creature-making painting thing I got from MTS, but I'm worried something's going to mess up soon and I won't be able to fix it.
So I neeeeed Bodyshop to start working again. I've tried it with my CC in, and my CC out, disk in and out, it just keeps crashing. I'm sure it will work again soon.
In other news, I tried that Good Genes III challenge over at GOS, and it has taken me a week to get round to sharing it here. I played it out in one of my favourite maxis hood/sub-hoods, Bluewater Village, and I am definitely going back to play there sometime soon.

I was surprised at how easy it was to breed out Sy's genetics. Okay, so Ink's siblings were rather...odd-looking but I expected the skin tone to carry right through to Romance. Speaking of Romance:

If Bodyshop was working, I would back both Romance and her father Ink up and play them in the Wrongway hood. Romance looks a lot like her mother if you ask me, with bits of her father thrown in (they eyes, for example, and maybe the mouth too).
Right! That's enough from me! I'll probably post again at a later date, about whether or not I have to rebuild. Until then!
