Beare: Putting Down Roots
Hello!
It's been quite awhile since I posted a PSS update - I got fed up with the Sims, pulled all of my 'hoods out, went on hiatus, played sims for myself, started new challenges, played new sims, and remembered why I liked playing PSS in the first place.
So it's back. Woo! And it's time to visit the Beare family!

Everyone remembers Kevin Beare, yes? The most adorable, faithful graduate from Sim State University. He meant every word he said to Brenda Hourvitz, the woman he's been engaged to for a long time.
That's who he's phoning now, by the way.

"Brenda, you're as beautiful as ever," Kevin grinned, "What would you say if I asked you to move in with me right away?"
"Yes, of course! I can't wait to start our lives together,"

Brenda didn't fair too well in the clothing lottery. I don't think I've ever used that outfit.

Anyway, I wanted to keep Brenda in hat, though I didn't have many hairstyles with hats. So this was the best I could do.
I like her a lot.

And instantly, life fell into a state of domestic bliss. Brenda's LTW is to reach her golden anniversary, so she won't be getting a job.
Kevin wants to be an Education Minister, but there's no openings yet. The family's not strapped for cash just yet, so it can wait.

And the best way forwards into more domestic bliss, is to marry the loveliest, most faithful couple I've played in Project Sim State.
No one ever sits down properly at these ceremonies, so I didn't bother with the Beare ceremony. Now I wish I had.

"Brenda Hourvitz, I've loved you since I first laid eyes on you. You're the only woman for me, forever and always. Will do me the honour of being my wife?"
"I will. Kevin Beare, you've been the sunshine in my life ever since I wandered by the Greek house by accident, and I wouldn't have it any other way. My heart is yours forever, will you do me the honour of being my husband?"
"I will."

Naturally, most of the Sim State crew showed up for the ceremony. A few faces were missing from the crowd - Erik, Jane, Jimmy, Martin, Sam and Tiffany, but that was fine. The people Kevin was closest to made it to the ceremony.
Castor and Allegra decided not to bother dressing up for the wedding.

And no one noticed Kevin and Brenda disappeared from the wedding party. ;)

And because they're such a happy and perfect couple, it seemed like a good idea to the give the Beares a garden.

I am so excited to meet this baby - it'll be the third PSS baby!
Plus I want to see how Brenda and Kevin's genes mix.

Kevin's very excited to meet the baby, too.
"I hope it's a boy, Brenda! Someone to take on the family name."
"Pssh, that's an old-fashioned few, Kev. I want a little girl, so I can comb her hair, and dress her up...
"Oh yeah? Like that's not old-fashioned! What if she wants to play football?"
"Kev, we're going to love the little person growing inside me, no matter what."
"I know."

The first part of the pregnancy passed with nothing very interesting happening - just the couple being adorable.
But what else did you expect?

"Hey, do you remember how huge Jane was when she was pregnant? Are you gonna get that huge?!"
"Well, I don't think it's twins..."
"Jane wasn't having twins. She just got really big, really fast."
"I'm sure I'm going to be fine, Kev."

Once again, Jared stops by to remind everyone that he still exists. Because he's right at the end of the rotation, so he doesn't want to be forgotten. As if that were possible!
"Jared! We're good friends! You should hang out here ALL DAY!"

Jared did hang around, even when night fell and no one paid attention to him.
Well, the fruit isn't going to harvest itself!

See? Jared doesn't go home.
"This isn't about Jared! This is about me, and the baby I'm about to push out!"
Oh yeah. Brenda went into labour.

"Awwwh! Kev, we've got a little boy!"
That night, Ryan Beare was welcomed into the world!

By the time Ryan had made it into the world, Jared had already gotten bored and started smelling the flowers.
If that doesn't fit in with the hippy-stereotype they've placed on Jared, I don't know what is.

"Guys, if you're just going to be cute and cuddly all night, I think I might go."
"Cool. We want to get started right away on our next baby, anyway."
"Gross. I'm gone. Seeya."

Brenda and Kevin weren't kidding when they said they wanted to start on the next baby. Both rolled the want for a baby almost immediately.
I do think Brenda and Kev will end up with several kids. Is it strange that I'm hoping they're all boys? The Beare boys, Brenda's boys...eee I want them to have all boys. But we'll see.

Before dawn arrives, Kevin gets out of bed and gets started on the garden. Keeping all the plants happy and healthy is hard work, especially when Kevin is job-hunting and raising a baby at the same time.
I'm also hoping Kevin becomes a plantsim...

Brenda is definitely pregnant.
I'm excited! More babies!

"Jared? Did you even go home?"
"I wanted to but babies. He's perfect, Kevin. He's just perfect."
Kevin smiled, "He really is, isn't he?"

"Oh dear, what's the matter little one?"
Jared loves babies, but it seems he doesn't quite understand how to change diapers yet.

The next day, Kevin had to settle on a job - because the house is too small for Ryan and the new baby, and money's a little tight. That's what starting a family does, it seems.

So Brenda got to stay home and play with Ryan.
Pretty sure the day passed without anything significant happening.

Oh, except this.
Second baby, so excited!

It was also Ryan's birthday - I am very excited for this!

As it turns out, Ryan is mostly Kevin with Brenda's hair colour and eye colour.
Which is odd because Brenda's template is usually pretty dominant. Oh well.

He's so cute! I adore him!
I can't wait to see Ryan as grows!
As for the rest of the family...

Well. This second pregnancy is a lot more rough on Brenda...
And that's where this update ends! Next update will be the Bubbler family. :)
