beanstalk_sims | Prosperity: Spring

I know I only updated earlier, but I'm beginning to get ahead of myself as far as playing goes, and whenever I've done that too much, I suck at updating. The pictures will sit there, and I'll stop playing because I don't want to get any further ahead, and then I'll play something else and-

It'd be messy, trust me. At this point, in-game, I am a whole season ahead at this point. So here, have another update! I've taken far too many pictures this rotation, so the updates are now split by families.

And if you've missed any of the previous updates, there is a nice table of contents over here at boolprop. Eventually, I will make a contents post on LJ. But until then...

Anyway, let's get started!

Let's start with Lily bumping into a pregnancy.

I actually directed them to get pregnant, I don't think they were ever going to manage it on their own (with ACR), purely because Richard is romance and Lily is Pleasure. Less likely to have kids or something, I don't know.

Anyway! Another member of generation two is on the way!

"Lily Lagoon, I have an important question to ask you..."

Despite Richard dabbling with cheating in the first ever update, these two really have only had eyes for each other. So after quite some time of just living together, Richard is finally popping the question.

Their fears of engagement had gone away.

"Oh, Richard! I can't wait to be Mrs.Cooper!"

I am very excited about this development - in my head, Lily and her cousin, Lola Lagoon, were opposites. One was supposed to live with her favourite partner and maybe have an open relationship (Lily), while the other found Prince Charming and settled down (Lola).

It's odd that I developed that head-canon, considering the girls have the same aspiration, really.

"You're cute. I'm cute, too. We should date."

Spring is all about new life and romances, and the teens aren't about to miss out on it.

Henry finds out that he quite likes the girl he brought home from school, Nikki Rossi. In fact, they have a few bolts - two of them, I believe.

Nikki even puts up with the fact that Henry thinks noogies are a good way of communicating with girls. I'm pretty sure that means she's a keeper, Henry. Do not let that girl go.

Nikki's one of my favourite Downtownies, though I've never bred her genetics into anything. So I'm really hoping Henry doesn't mess this one up - I'd quite like to see the offspring.

So while Henry takes the first few steps with Nikki - and ends up going steady with her - Emily invites over her boyfriend, and goes steady with him. Because I forgot that was an option for teens until Henry met Nikki.

The "Go Steady" hug is really cute, too.

Once the partners of the teens are taken care of, everyone is sent to dig. We need the money to pay for a wedding! For some reason, I want to throw a large wedding for Lily and Richard, and we need all the help we can get!

And if you're wondering where Dylan is for all of this, he's about, he's just not very interesting.

Elsewhere, Lily pops again.

So excited for this baby, seriously.

Several hours of digging later, and we have a large enough haul to earn a couple of grand. That should be enough to buy a wedding arch, some benches, some cake and some fun!

"You're not worried that being pregnant in a wedding dress will make you look like a small elephant?"

The ceremony was planned the same day - the day before the baby's birth. And warning - I took far too many pictures of it.

I couldn't think of different ways to caption the many, many wedding pictures. So just enjoy their prettiness!

Lily took Richard's name, and is now Lily Cooper. And I deliberately did not dress Lily in white, because I didn't think she would choose white - it's too pure and perfect for Lily. Not to mention plain.

The reception began, and I found Terry drinking alone in the kitchen/living room.

I can't help but feel like Terry drew the short stick in all of the stuff going on with his family and stuff.

Outside, it's cake time.

Place your bets, is Lily a cake-stuffer, or will she use a fork?

Give yourself a pat on the back if you said cake-shover!

It's just so typical of Lily and Richard :) They don't do things by the book.

Later that night, a fight broke out. I had to invite the Lagoons over, because they're Lily's family.

I have no idea why I included Jace on that list - there is a queue of people waiting to beat him up for the way he screwed up the family last season. Oh well, I guess it makes for an interesting wedding party.

Jace is fighting William here, Lola's father. I didn't realise the pair hated each other.

"This is all my fault!"

A little bit. Jace should take some of the blame, too.

Lily! You just got married, and that's your aunt's husband!

The Lagoon family really is messed up.

Jace vs. Terry, followed by Jace vs. Rita.

Anyone like to have a go while Jace is taking a beating?

"Had enough, Jace? I think this is the last time you'll mess with the Lagoon family."

Has he learnt his lesson? I guess we'll find out soon enough.

The next day, Lily goes into labour in the smallest room in the house, because she knows I struggle getting pictures in there.

It must be in sims coding to do that or something, I swear it happens a lot.

I've not seen that spelling of "Alex" before, it's pretty neat!

And because babies don't stay babies very long, here is Alix's birthday!

She's cute!

But what did you expect from a gorgeous mother and a father who is essentially face one? Also, the wavy hair. It is now a head-canon that Alix has naturally curly hair, and I will continue to give her curly hairstyles throughout life.

Henry has definitely taken a shine to her.

The Lagoon family would usually be next, but seeing as it's split in two now, you'll have Jace, Jessie and Terry first, the Lagoon/Macarevich household, and then Lola, Rita, William and Rhode Lagoon.
