I'm thinking that I'm just going to refer to this household as the "Macarevich" household from here on out, because Jace is the sim here who gets all of the attention, and it saves me from having to keep typing "Lagoon/Macarevich".
I'm also having one hell of a time trying to get pictures to load and stuff today. Hopefully every shows up where it should.
Anyway! Jace's exploits this rotation are the reason I had to split spring into chunks. I was convinced this household would be dull now that there's only three sims living here, but I was wrong. Again. I blame Jace.
Let's get started!

"Bills! What a great way to start the spring!"
The family is not poor, but they're paying for a rather large house which they're just not using. It wasn't designed for three people to live in - I haven't bothered redecorating or anything, but the family now needs very little space.

Not a lot was happening at the home lot - the elders were kind of cramping Jace's style - so I sent him out to the local bar. And who should be there but his ex-fiancée. (Note: My spellchecker does not like the word fiancée, why is that?)
Lola stood around watching Jace, looking quite sad. It sort of amused how things work out - how Lola just happened to be there.

"I'm a family sim, and I like long walks on the beach, and I want twenty puppies and kittens, and-"
"I don't think you're what I'm looking for..."
I gave Jace Romance as a secondary aspiration, and the freetime perk of super chemistry - no girl can resist Jace's charm - except it hasn't seemed to work on this bartender. Zero bolts.
Also Lola, trying desperately not to react to her ex-partner flirting and stuff.

Then one of my favourite townies of all time walked in - Jan Tellerman.
"You call that dressing down? Because you are looking hot!"
"You're not so bad yourself. I'm Jan."

"I'm Jace, and I think we should go out,"
"I like that plan!"
For some reason, I have it installed in my brain that Jan is a knowledge sim. And I know she's not, I know she's a romance, so why do I still think she's a knowledge sim?

"Yo. Jace. My face is up here."

Well, that didn't take long.
Two or three bolts, plus ACR, equals a night of woohoo, and nothing more. Right?

"Jace? What's going on?" Jessie gasped - Jace was there, with another woman. This relationship had cost her a family, and it had all been in vain.

"You're a monster, Jace. You've ruined a family for your personal game, and then cast it aside when you find something else that you want."
"I'm getting really fed up of being slapped and attacked,"
"You've earned every slap, Jace."

As far as I'm concerned, Jace didn't really learn his lesson from Jessie slapping him. He's had so many beatings lately, how is he to know what they all mean?
In the meantime, he had a night of no-strings-attached woohoo, right?

Wrong! I moved Jan in!
Why?
Well, in retrospect, I probably shouldn't have done. It kinda makes no sense in terms of Jace and his character...but at the same time, he moved quite quickly with his relationship with Lola, who's to say he wouldn't try the same again?
I'm sure it was Einstein who said insanity was doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. If that's the case, Jace is probably insane.
On an unrelated note, Jan is gorgeous. I did attempt to keep her dressed-down, sort of tomboyish look. I don't know whether or not I succeeded, but I'm happy with her makeover.

"Is that...is that his ex? Dancing in the living room?"
I have no idea why Lola is letting herself in - nor her parents, William and Rita - they just come in, poke Jace in the chest a little bit, and then dance the afternoon away. Rita and William have 8 outgoing points each, so they might be outgoing enough to let themselves into places, but Lola definitely isn't. Maybe she just didn't leave the house key when she walked out.
When they're not just walking in, they kick the bin over, which is seriously annoying. I've had one outbreak of flu at the Coopers so far - which I had Grandma's Comfort Soup to fix - and I don't want to relive the experience here.

"My ex-partner's new partner, my niece who used to be engaged to the same man, who I was also romantic with! Ugh, my life is so messed up!"
It just amuses me how complicated Jace has made things since arriving in this challenge.

"He doesn't love you! He just likes woohoo!"
"Take that back!"
I don't know why Jessie thought she could take Jan on - Jan's got a stupidly high amount of body points, and she's in the military. No one can beat her in a fight.

"Awh, what a cute dog! I should convince Jace that we need a dog..."

"OW! It bit me! I've changed my mind, I don't want a dog!"

"What...what is happening to me?"

"Oh, Wright, how am I going to explain this one?"
I was so excited when this happened - I haven't had a werewolf in FOREVER. Since generation two of my first ever legacy which I started in 2008. So it was probably late 2008/early 2009 I last played one.
This is going to be fun! Jan is definitely one of my favourites now, even more so <3

"Euugh. I guess it's the shock causing my nausea..."

"Or not."
Another reason I moved Jan in - Jace can't break hearts and leave a trail of illegitimate children if none of the women are controllable. Where's the fun of playing a love rat with no babies?
Plus I love Jan. But you knew that.

"So, what's the plan, Jace?" Jan asked, anxiously. She knew Jace's history - there was no avoiding it when one of his ex-partners lived in the house - and that worried her.
"What do you mean? We're going to have a gorgeous little baby, and we're going to raise it,"
"You're not going to run a mile?"

"Is that what you think I do?" Jace asked, turning to look at her. The concern in her expression answered his question, "You think I left Lola because she had a baby?"
"I don't know what happened between you and Lola," Jan said, quietly, "And I'm not sure I want to."
"I can assure you, Jan, it was not because of Rhode, my daughter with Lola."

"I'll admit, Jan, I wasn't the best father to Rhode," Jace took a deep breath, "I'm going to be a better father to our baby."
Jan smiled, warmly, "Really? That means a lot, Jace."
"Trust me, Jan," Jace smiled back at her, "Everything will work out."

Outside, in the garden - which looks so vibrant and pretty in spring - another conversation was taking place.
"Terry, please," Jessie begged, "I've learnt my lesson."
"He's dumped you, so you're going to take gullible old Terry back?"

"That's not it, Terry," Jessie sighed, dramatically, "The grass is always greener, Terry. I'm guessing that's why I went with Jace in the first place. I can't apologise enough times for the hurt I-"
"Wright, Jessie, stop grovelling."

"I would be an absolute idiot to take you back, Jess," Terry said, honestly, "You made a complete fool of me, disregarded our family, and the lives we had built together."
"I know, I know. I broke everything in an instant of poor judgement."
"It's not just that, Jessie," Terry shrugged, "You didn't think about anyone else in that moment. I don't think I've ever known you to be that selfish before."

"Maybe that's the problem, Terry. Maybe I wanted something for myself for a change, rather than for the good of the family."
"You can't think like that, Jess," Terry replied, quietly, "And it's just an excuse, at the end of the day. Your actions cost you everything, and there is no point trying to place the blame or find a cause - we need to deal with the consequences."
"Terry, we've been through everything together. For years. How can you just give it all up?"
"You're not the Jess I thought I was married to, I guess."

"So that's it?" Jessie said, slowly, trying to hold back tears, "We're giving up?"
"I never said that," Terry pointed out, "I said the wise thing to do would be for me to give up. To not get involved again. Unfortunately, I'm not the wise old man from Takemizu. I'm Terry Lagoon, and I want my wife back."
"Terry..." Jessie murmured, softly, a smile coming to her face.
"I want to take things slowly though. As if we have all the time in the world."
"Anything. Absolutely anything to fix this."

You'll be pleased to know that the 'going slowly' approach lasted all of five minutes.
Though it is sort of good to have things repaired between these two.

To celebrate Jessie and Terry reuniting, a small party was held that evening. Meaning, lots of people were invited, but hardly anyone showed up. Richard Cooper, that cat, and Sandy Bruty were the only ones to bother turning up.

It didn't take much more than a few hours of dancing for Jace to be up to his old tricks again. To be fair, this was the only time he flirted with Sandy - he ignored her for the rest of the night. Temporary lapse in judgement, maybe?
We'll blame it on the juice.

This was what followed his temporary lapse of judgement. Perhaps, this counts as a second lapse of judgement. He rolled the want for this, I just provided the atmosphere.
Also, putting those lights up in the gazebo seemed like a good idea, but it just didn't turn out like it did in my head. Which is a shame. Maybe next time I'll used building cheats and sort it out better.

"Jan, when I look at you on this spring night, dancing in your underwear, I just want to hold you, and never let go. Will you marry me?"
Now, we all know what the wise answer to that question would be.

"You're not seriously going to marry him, are you?"
Jan said yes. We all knew she would, but we were all hoping she wouldn't.

So with Jace's ring - my headcanon is that it's actually Lola's ring, the one she left behind when she walked out - Jan pops into the next stage of pregnancy. Have I mentioned I am excited to meet this baby?
At this point, Jace had a day off, and I decided to take him out for a bit.

With two loved-up elders and a furry pregnant woman, I figured he could probably do with the break. I would have sent Jan with him, but I'm pretty sure the game doesn't like pregnant people walking to community lots.
Or maybe that's a belief I've held onto that isn't actually true.
Anyway, I took Jace here, the King's Gardens, a community lot that came with the Mansion and Garden stuff pack, and quite possibly one of my favourites.

Naturally, for Jace, freedom means trouble - I give my sims freewill, and they abuse it.
This is Allyn Thomason, and they have two bolts. He rolled up the want to take her on a date, and who am I to say no? I let everyone else in the 'hood have what they want, afterall.

This shot would be really pretty, if it wasn't for the fact Jace is cheating on his partner in it.
I really do love this lot, though. I'll have to send one of my more monogamous couples here.

Riverside's bad boy is misbehaving and he knows it.
He took Allyn to the bar, where the date ended. But with the motives boost sims get from dream dates, Jace's night was far from over...

Andrea Hogan just happened to be standing outside of the bar as Allyn walked away, and she just happened to have three bolts with Jace.
It was like moths to a flame, Jace couldn't keep away from her.

"Oh my, he's so charming!"
Funny how many sims start off thinking that. And then they get to know Jace properly.

"Oh, Jace? I forgot to give you my phone number...what's going on here?"
Allyn kept trying to 'greet' Jace after that - probably so she could slap him senseless - but Jace kept himself busy with Andrea instead, so it dropped out of his queue. Smart move, Jace. I don't know how many more beatings you can take.

"Um, excuse me? *clears throat* My boyfriend and future husband for the rest of time appears to be stuck to your face?"
Did I mention I'm pretty sure Allyn is a family sim, who would definitely like to spend forever with Jace, maybe with a few hundred children, dogs and cats. Also a big house with a white picket fence.

"Wow, she's pushy."
Allyn literally squeezed herself in between Jace and his date, to little effect really - she got this one kiss out of it.

But in the end, Jace took Andrea back to his place.
A risky move, what with Jan being around.

Funnily enough, no one really noticed.

Jan was outside kicking the crap out of a puddle, though.
Maybe she knows but is pleading innocence - ignorance is bliss, right?

Elsewhere, Terry and Jessie were behaving really sweet.
I'm very glad these two got things sorted.

The next morning, Jan went into labour. I don't think Jace was home at the time.

It's a girl! Riverside is having quite a few girls at the minute!
This is Sonja Tellerman.

Minutes after the birth, and Terry and Jessie have turned on Jan.
I know it's because Jace cheated on Jessie with Jan, but Jan was sort of the innocent party in it all, I guess.

When Jace is about, he's working on his next conquest - the maid.
Kaylynn certainly seems besotted with him. For the time being, anyway.

Later that night, Jace invited Allyn over.
Because he had a want locked for 5 woohoos, and he was at 4. It was just really easy to fulfill that want.

"We're going to be together forever, right, Jace?"
"Of course..."
"Allyn."
"I knew that."

"Oh, Wright! You have a fiancée?!"
"Jace, who is this?"
"Jace, NEVER call me again, okay?"
I have no idea why Jessie is in there as well. Maybe she just wanted to be part of the moment.

I'm guessing Jessie flirted with Jace again as well. Ugh, seriously.
"Jace! We have a daughter, and you're fooling around with women in OUR BED?!"

"Jan...I'm not going to apologise. Because it won't change anything."
"You're damn right it won't."
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better, Jan?"

"You're going to stop seeing other women, Jace," Jan said, sternly, "You're going to stop going outside without me, except for work. You're going to pull your weight around the house. You're going to help me raise our daughter. And she is never to know of the disgusting things you've done."
"And if I don't?"
Jan glared at him. In werewolf form, this was particularly terrifying. Jace regretted the words as soon as they left his mouth.

"Then all of the money we've scrimped and saved will stay with me and Sonja, and you will be living on your own in an apartment on the other side of the river."
"Jan-"
"It's your choice, Jace. I will not be made a fool of."
* * * * *
Phew! This was by far the chunkiest of the updates for the rotation. I am so excited to show you what happens with these guys next season, but we've got a couple of updates before we get to that point - Lola's household, and then the Coopers in summer.
I hope you enjoyed it! See you next time!
