This is the first family I played after uninstalling sims and reinstalling it, so for sixteen or so pictures, they are all this weird wide-screen size. Then they go back to normal. I'm sorry! I thought everything was fine until I looked back.

You probably remember that these guys live on the trailer park - after Lola split from Jace Macarevich. I'm currently playing a sort-of nickel-and-dimed challenge with them - I'm attempting to raise Rhode on a trailer park and send her to university! She'll need the scholarship for having an A+, or that's what I've decided. I'm not sure if that's in the rules or not. It's a variation of a nickel-and-dimed, anyway.

Enjoy!

First of all, look how pretty the trailer park can be!

I love the scenery, there's always something to look at - that said, I tend to get quite bored in winter, due to the lack of green and flowers and stuff. Maybe it's just because I'm looking forward to spring and summer in real life!

Anyway, let's look at the family, rather than the setting.

"Mum, I want to meet Dad properly!" Rhode decided, one morning. Lola looked at her daughter.

"Are you sure?" Lola asked, quietly, "He's not been very nice to this family."

"All of the other kids have two parents." Rhode answered, a touch of sadness to her voice. Lola felt guilty, even though it wasn't really her fault.

Lola knew that some of the other parents in town had their own troubles - rumour had it Jace and Jan had been having troubles - but Lola didn't point this out. She tried to see it through her daughter's eyes.

"I'll call him today, Rhode. See what I can do." Lola said, finally.

"Thanks, Mum." Rhode replied, grinning.

Once Rhode had gone to school, the gypsy matchmaker was called - while was doing well as a single mother, and earning just enough to keep them comfortable on the trailer park, I felt she still deserved someone new in her life.

She also keeps rolling wants for a baby.

"I'd like to meet a man, matchmaker. Someone handsome, and also faithful, please."

"Well, seeing as you asked so nicely!"

Lola didn't have a whole lot of money, so we'll see how this turns out...

"His name is Brandon!"

If Lola decides she likes Brandon, I'll have to go and download a kilt for him to wear! I don't particularly like that maxis outfit.

Lola and Brandon got to know each other, a little bit, but the earth didn't seem to move with their romance, so maybe it's not meant to be. But then again, they could surprise me later on.

That evening, when Lola was at work, and Rhode was left with William and the Nanny, Jace came over to spend time with his oldest daughter.

"So what do you wanna do, Dad?"

"Uhhh. You don't really have much in the way of stuff to do..."

"I have a ball, we could play catch!"

"Sounds good to me, Rhode! Let's go outside, shall we? Your mother would kill me if we broke a window or something."

"Wow, Jace! You actually showed up!" Lola was delighted to see Jace making an effort with his daughter.

Jace missed the catch, and turned round to face his ex.

"You're looking well," He said, pulling her in for a hug.

"Thanks," Lola replied, uncertain, "You, too."

Rhode watched the awkward reunion of her parents.

"Well, at least they're not fighting." She decided.

"You really DO look good!" Jace said again, later. Lola rolled her eyes.

"Jace, I've welcomed you back into our lives for the sake of our daughter," Lola said, firmly, "Not to get back with me."

"Wouldn't dream of it," Jace told her, "I'm Jan's. I'm trying to be a man of my word."

"Old habits die hard right?" Lola raised her eyebrows. Jace shrugged.

"I'm trying."

After Jace had gone that evening, Lola took her daughter aside, "You're more than welcome to get to know your father, Rhode, but I'd rather you go over there to see him."

It seemed like a wise decision, given what Lola knew about Jace's self-control - or the lack of it.

And here's where the pictures change back! And William's first appearance in the update - he's been really quiet and stuff. Obviously working on this rivalry with Kaylynn, I guess.

Kaylynn looks super-happy to be in a fight, though!

Red-cheeked from his fight, and happy from the adrenaline rush, William felt content.

Just in time for Death to make his appearance.

YOUR TIME IS UP, WILLIAM LAGOON. I'M HERE TO REUNITE YOU WITH YOUR WIFE.

"Rita? I can't wait to see her!"

...did anyone else notice the carvings on the hourglass? This is the first time I have, and I think it's super-neat!

William's death left Rhode all alone, as Lola was at work. And while Rhode gets along quite well with her Nanny, it's not exactly the same, is it?

William's passing does mean that Rhode gets her own room, finally. She's been sharing a bed with her Mum for the entire time they've been living on the trailer park.

Also, it's been decorated for Rhode's teen birthday!

"My baby's going to be all grown up!"

"MuuUUum. I'm just going to be a teenager."

I'm so excited for this - Rhode is the first child to be born in game, and so therefore, she's going to be the first teenager! Milestone!

She's gorgeous! But what did you expect?

Rhode rolled family.

"Rhode, do your shorts really need to be that short?"

"Yes. Maybe even shorter."

I had also forgotten Rhode was playful until she spent her birthday playing in the tub.

Rhode seems to be quite bold and playful, so I'm guessing she's going to be quite a wild child!

"Wooo!"

I adore Rhode. I can't wait to see what she gets up to next time!

That's all for now! The Newsons are up next! See you then!
