beanstalk_sims | Prosperity: Autumn 2

Hello there!

It's been awhile since I posted something prosperity-related, and truthfully, I've had the pictures for this update sorted for like a month...but here it is!

In case you can't recall, the Coopers are my extremely normal family. Richard Cooper's two kids, Emily and Dylan, have grown up and flown the nest, as has his wife's son, Henry Lagoon. Lily is a little bit younger than Richard, and rolled the want for more kids, which is why we have Alix - who will inherit the house when she's old enough.

Let's get started!

We rejoin the Coopers to find Lily having breakfast with one of her husband's work friends. I don't remember his name, but he sure does sleep a lot.

"Isn't that bowl hurting your face a little bit?"

"Zzzzz."

Lily rolled the want for another baby, and ACR decided to let them have it.

Alix will still inherit the house.

Like I said, that guy really likes to sleep.

Pretty sure he was there all day. I started wondering if he was glitched - turns out he wasn't, but still.

How many chess pieces can YOU hold in one hand?

I think Alix has you beat.

Alix is a very outgoing individual, and often has to find ways to amuse herself. She's not the most playful sim in the 'hood, but she seems to manage okay.

She's a lot of fun - and dances constantly.

Her parents spend most of their time being adorable, so I guess it's no real surprise Alix is left to her own devices.

I'm so glad Richard and Lily worked out, they're one of my favourite couples!

Richard is a very surprising man - with mohawk and bad-boy persona, surely you'd expect to see him on a guitar rather than a piano. Actually, because of that piano, most of the Coopers are creative.

It just amuses me that Richard is playing one.

"Ugh. Remind me why I wanted another baby?"

Because Lily and Richard throw adorable kids, of course!

It wasn't long before Lily realised she was expecting again. I'm pretty sure she was only sick that one time.

She's quite a good sim, really.

"Check it out, Dad! I'm smart AND adorable!"

"I'm so proud of you, Alix!"

They've really done a good job with these kids! Alix will be going to university, like her big brother Dylan.

As a treat, Alix gets a new games console.

And this has nothing to do with the fact sims make amazing faces while gaming. >_>

Alix also got one of those ovens. Not only to build cooking skill without forcing her to sit down with a book, but because she's always hungry when her parents are in bed.

I really need to put leftovers in the fridge. But muffins will work fine, too.

If Alix ever learns how not to burn them.

The next day, and the kids are round for a visit. Dylan decides to share his good news...

"Dad, I got engaged! She's the most gorgeous and amazing woman!"

"Why didn't you bring her home, then?"

"Patience, Dad! I'll invite you over to meet her, okay?"

"I'm going to hold you to that."

Emily let herself inside and started devouring the contents of the fridge.

Her excuse being that she's heavily pregnant.

"Ha, you look like you swallowed a beach ball, sis'."

"You sure know how to charm a girl, Dylan. Remember not to say that to Angel when she's pregnant."

"Why not? What could possibly go wrong?"

"Wait and see."

Henry had also stopped by.

"Hey, kiddo. You're getting really good at that!"

For some reason, Emily, Dylan and Henry didn't stay very long. I mean, Emily's probably tired because she's been pregnant since the last rotation, Dylan has to get back to campus...so what's Henry's excuse?

I think his girlfriend is pregnant ~~but not showing, actually~~ I just checked, she popped right at the end of the last rotation. So there's his excuse, getting home to a pregnant girlfriend.

Meanwhile, a pregnant Lily pops for a second time. Don't they look excited?

Coincidentally, it was also Alix's birthday, which is why the others had been invited round in the first place.

Oh well.

She grew up completely gorgeous, by the way. You expected that, right?

Alix rolled Knowledge, like her older brother Dylan. Oddly enough, it suits her.

The following night, Richard topped the Culinary career, which makes him permaplat.

He's the first permaplat sim of the prosperity! Woo, milestones!

And he was home just in time for the baby's arrival, which was great timing!

Okay...that's unusual. I'm guessing I must have downloaded a sim with a geneticised skintone.

Anyway, this is baby Daniel! Yup, we got a boy! :D

"You may be strange looking, sweetie, but you're still adorable!"

Alix took an immediate shine to her baby brother, which was nice to see.

The next day, and Alix's old friend from childhood comes home with her on the bus - Clarence Roennigke. (I would never of remembered that if I hadn't written it down)

Suddenly, Alix is seeing Clarence in an entirely different light to how she used to...

"Wow, you grew up well, Alix."

"Thanks, Clarence. I never noticed how hot you were before."

"Really?"

When Alix befriended him as a child, this was my plan!

We'll see how this goes, though. You never know with first loves!

Still, they make a sweet couple.

Clarence could use some dress sense, though.

Right at the end of autumn, Daniel grew into a toddler.

"Aren't you a handsome little man?"

And he is. Now, if this were a plotty story, I'd make a big deal out of his strangely shiny skin, perhaps chalking it up to some kind of illness. But because this is observational, and I wanted to remove the shiny skin from my game so that this didn't happen in, say, my legacy, I opened up simPE...

I gave Daniel the skin tone in between his parent's, S2, and immediately deleted the other one from my game. It just doesn't fit in with my maxis-match style, and I didn't like it.

Anyway, after that drama, here's Dan's stats - 4/10/9/4/1 - his personality is a clone of Alix's. Guess we'll have to wait and see if he looks like Alix as he grows!
