The Summers: More Sims 3 Madness
Jun. 8th, 2014 09:25 pm
So I've finished my course now, and have a few months before I move to university. And I have no idea what to do with that time. So I played sims, and you can have some more from my TS3 game!

Let's begin with Patrice's birthday. I am very excited for this, as I can finally send her to university - which is one of my favourite things to play in TS3!
And because the Summers are classy, Margaret celebrates in her pants, while Jack wears his outerwear. On the plus side, Jack does look sentimental and proud that his baby is growing up.

I never did understand why age transitions cause such dramatic hair-do changes! Needless to say, Patrice is not keeping that.
She grew up gorgeous, just like her parents. Although you can't tell that from the expression Margaret is pulling in the background.

Patrice receives a quick makeover - mostly to get her hairstyle back and dressed as a university student - and then enrolls!
...I still can't believe how pretty she is!

Is it just me, or is Jack beginning to look his age a little bit? It may just be the lighting.
Anyway, Patrice couldn't go without taking one more selfie with her Dad. I mean, what other pictures would she decorate her dorm room with?

"Bye sweetheart! Have a good time! Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"
That means Patrice can pretty much get away with whatever. Jack was a little party animal during his university days, with antics involving kegs, juice pong, and juice kissing his best friends.

And here we are! A tiny corner in a shared room of a dorm!
I had to take a picture of it, apparently. I often forget to decorate the dorm, I wanted to at least make a little bit of effort with Patrice. Fun fact: the sheets match her ones at home :)

With the minor decorating out of the way, Patrice attempts to get to know her roommates, who for some reason all insist on standing outside in the cold.
Unfortunately she didn't get to meet many of them before she dashed off to the student union or whatever it is they do on the first day.

Unrelated note: campus is gorgeous.
The university I withdrew from two-and-a-half years ago looked slightly like one of these buildings, it was like learning inside a castle!

Rather than grabbing freebies, Patrice introduces herself to a rebel and wishes to be like them. So she spray-paints the inside of the university.
That's what rebelling is all about, right?

In fact, university quickly spirals into crazy antics like that. When she's not aiming for rebel influence, Patrice is attempting to keep up with the jocks. I'm not complaining, it's all fun.
Oh, and that guy with the blue hair? His name is Cid Serverus. Take an 'r' out of that and you've got Severus, as in Severus Snape! For that reason, I've decided I like Cid.

Apparently, dumpster diving is very popular amongst rebels. At least, I think it was the rebels who told her to do that.
To me, it just seems like the more affluent rebels want to see how crazy the newest freshmen are, and Patrice was juiced enough to go along with it. But whatever.
It was pretty funny.

This sleeping dude is not the guy who belongs to that bed, so what does Patrice do?
Wake him up rudely, of course! And she takes great pleasure in doing so.

At some point, Patrice actually did do some work, rather than just goof off.
I mean, she goes to class, but outside of that she spends her time pulling pranks and getting up to mischief.

See? One sketchbook drawing and it's time to play juice pong as a reward!
"I've studied hard all day, let's see if I can beat you!"
It looked like Patrice lost. But are there any real losers in juice pong?

It was then I found out that every university has the same students, so it looks like Patrice is going to university with her Dad's friends!
But seeing as the family have moved a couple of times since Jack attended uni, no one remembers him. So I guess it's all good in that respect.

Patrice also decided to be friends with Cid (fun fact: they'd work well as a couple according to the pop-up I got!)

He parties just as hard as she does, afterall.
Though Patrice has never passed out.

See, I told you Patrice goes to class!
Her professor, however, was late. But I guess the heavy snowfall makes it hard to move with a cane?

"And you see, this freezer bunny represents the fact art is entirely subjective, and up to your interpretation."
This is what tuition fees pay for!

Outside, the mascot is STILL hanging around.
"Gangham style?"
Not if that scary-looking lady behind you has anything to say about it.

Back at the dorm, and it's time for more selfies!
And also, the full moon apparently. So the lighting goes a bit odd, but it's mostly okay.

"Will you stand still? You're making this hard work."
"Well, I just want to make sure you get my good side!"
"Oh yeah? Which side is your good side, Cid?"

"I'm all good side!"
"Right, well, it's done."
"Let me see!"

"Patrice! It looks just like me!"
Um. Sure it does.

"We'll have to do this again sometime, Cid."
"How about we try nude sketching next time?"
"Um, no."
"But isn't that supposed to be more artistic?"

"Maybe," Patrice admitted, "But I don't really want a naked picture of you in my final art book."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want the whole of campus to see every single pixel you're made of."
"Fair point. Excuse me one moment."

Aaaand he passed out again.
You're onto a winner there, Patrice.

Another day and it's time for the outdoor activity! Which kind of sucks in winter.
I wonder if waiting for spring in the main 'hood before coming back for next term will help...

At some point, Patrice and Cid decided they were so perfect and awesome as friends that they should date and make a perfect and awesome couple.
I approve.

I really like these two together.
Here's hoping they manage to stay together!

The next morning and report cards are ready!
Patrice did really well, she got an A, and put on the Dean's List. Even with her antics, she made it work!

It doesn't look like Cid did quite so well. Who knows.
Too much passing out, I'm guessing.

"There's something really off about this hot dog..."
You know, I really fear for Cid's wellbeing sometimes. I sometimes wonder if he will survive university!

And with that, Patrice's first term at university came to a close.
"So I'll see you next term?"
"Definitely."

"Ugh, lovers, please get a room for your soppy goodbyes!"
For some reason, I imagine that dude with a French accent. I have no idea why.

Anyway, that's all I have for this time! :)
