Wrongway: The New House (Again)
Jun. 18th, 2014 04:29 pmAs you're (mostly) aware, I had to rebuild (again) just before I released the last chapter, and so today I sat down and built the Wrongways a new house. The one they had been living in was from the lot bin, and so it was small and annoying, and not really suited for the family. I could have renovated it - I prefer doing that to building from scratch - but I thought at least ONE family in my 'hood needs a house I built.
So I built a proper one:

I can't take credit for the design, as I'm pretty sure I've seen a house like it somewhere else. I'm not sure where I saw that, or what the inside looked like. As it stands now, there may be some tweaks made later.
Overall, the project made me realise I quite like building sometimes, and I might redesign some of the other houses in the 'hood later.
Anyway, the interior:

Ground floor. I need to do something more constructive with the living area, it feels a bit empty at the moment, but other than that, I quite like it - I'm loving the kitchen, I think that's possibly one of my favourites. The old house didn't really have a big enough kitchen.

And the first floor! The top floor is entirely empty, and is just there to make the house look better. Who knows, maybe I'll open it up eventually.
Anyway, there's enough room for about four kids, which is the most kids I've had in the main house at one time - I don't plan to break that record any time soon! To be honest, I see Maddie stopping at two, maybe three.
I also took a family portrait of every family involved with the legacy, but I can't share those until I've posted the next two chapters, which is frustrating. Unless I leave out the ones that give away plot...
We'll see.
Anyway, that's what I've been up to today! Hope you're all having a good week!
