beanstalk_sims | Prosperity: Autumn 2

I'm addicted to playing my prosperity again, so you know what that means - updates! And just in time for everyone's favourite soap opera family :)

Seeing as it has been awhile, if you need a refresher, there's links to all of the updates here, and who's who here and here.

Let's get going!

Now, my game exploded a short while ago, and I lost my CC folder, so most of the sims will look a little bit different - I don't have exactly the same things anymore.

So Jan got a miniature makeover, as did Jace.

Now at the end of the last rotation, Jace was trying to convince Jan he was a changed man, and that he could be completely dedicated to her. He then got very friendly with the maid, Kaylynn Langerak. And during the rotation, when he was completely unplayable, Jace somehow managed to fall back in love with Lola Lagoon, his first romantic partner. I'm not sure how I missed that happening.

But while he's useless at staying faithful, he is a wonderful father to Sonja. Not so much his other daughter, Rhode, who he barely saw.

During the first day of autumn in their new home - if you remember, they moved out of the large Lagoon house in order to start a new life as a family - they could almost pass as a regular family.

There were no fights, or cheating, it was all quite pleasant.

Of course, the next day, the maid arrives while Jan is at work and the drama begins again.

It's Jace. Did you really expect him to change? (Although part of me wanted him to)

Kaylynn is Jace's second family sim, after Allyn, and probably expects the big house, kids, car, pets, the lot. I don't know how they keep falling for him - surely word must get around that he's bad news!

Unfortunately for Jace, his sofa woohoo was interrupted by everyone coming home from school and work.

And this kid Sonja brought home is now scarred for life.

"Are you kidding me?" Jan muttered under her breath.

"Jace! I gave you ONE LAST CHANCE and you blew it! Did you even think about your family?"

"Jan, please-"

"No! This is it! I WANT YOU OUT!"

The chaos in the living room was enough to upset Sonja, who I imagine to be quite sensitive, and so she ran to her room.

I expected to find her in there crying, but...

Well. She seems delighted that her mother stood up for herself.

Or maybe this is a sign that Sonja definitely needs therapy.

"So, wait, you're a werewolf as well?"

"Why are you still here?"

Kaylynn is the living definition of someone overstaying their welcome. Naturally, no one here likes her.

So Jace was booted out to start a new life with Kaylynn. On the trailer park!

"What do you mean my payment bounced? There's tons of money in that account!"

"Well, here's the fun thing about joined bank accounts Mr Macarevich, your name is no longer on it."

"But how will I pay my rent?"

"That's what I want to know."

We'll catch up with Jace and his new life later on.

Back at the Tellerman household, as this house shall now be known, things seem to be going smoothly without Jace.

"I know it's different not having your father here-"

"Actually, I quite like it. He used to talk through my favourite TV shows."

"Oh okay."

Things really did seem to go well for the rest of autumn - Sonja got an A+ at school, and brought friends home most days.

And Jan started to date again.

She had enough money for a full $5000 gypsy drop, and she got Ashley Pitts, and it went well!

In my mind, they would be taking in slow. Jan just got out of a long relationship where she was messed about constantly, and Ashley's a lot younger than she is - he's still in college, afterall.

But the game had other plans for them. With them both being romance sims, the pair of them jumped straight into bed as soon as ACR gave them the go ahead.

In other ways, however, these two aren't rushing things. Ashley hasn't moved in, and hasn't even stayed the night yet. He's met Sonja, but only briefly. He has, however, seen Jan as a werewolf.

Things really seem bright for their future.

And honestly, I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out this rotation.

The last day of autumn was a Saturday, which is the day I've assigned to having friends over. Rhode and Alix were both invited, but there was another reason for their presence...

Sonja's birthday!

I had been worried it wasn't going to fit into the rotation, and that she'd grow up on the first day of winter, but everything worked out. This is really exciting!

Sonja grew up absolutely gorgeous, and she rolled Romance. I'm not entirely sure about that, as it doesn't seem very Sonja, but perhaps she'll take after her mother more than her father? Only time will tell, I guess.
