I've actually been back a few days, but life's been a little busy. But last week was amazing, and I almost didn't want to come home! That's the only trouble with breaks, you have to come back to reality eventually.
The marks came back from my pre-degree course last week, while I was away, and my Mum was kind enough to read them out to me over the phone. Out of 60 credits, I got 39 distinctions, 15 merits and 6 passes, which is more than what I needed to get my place on the degree course I'd applied for. So I promptly forgot about it and spent the week enjoying myself in Wales.
This morning, the university emailed me to say they still didn't have my results, and if they didn't have them by 5pm tomorrow, I would lose my place. I was shocked, as my adviser at college had said the marks go through automatically, and I didn't need to worry about it.
So this morning, I emailed copies of my results through to the university, and I have confirmation that they've received them, but it's a-level results day in the UK, and so it's going to be some time before my place is confirmed. I was told later today or early tomorrow.
I'm not worried, as I have the marks required, it would just be nice to have confirmation of my place. But I can be patient. In the meantime, I've found some other first years to talk to - so I might even have some friends before I start.
Also, it's exactly one month today until I go. Exciting and nerve-wracking!
Hope you're all well, and had a good week!
