beanstalk_sims | TS4: The Rad Legacy [8]

Do I play sims too much? Probably.

Last time, there was the aftermath of Dante's death, the kids were making friends, and some birthdays happened! Also Anne was reunited with her husband when he came back to haunt for a bit. :)

Also, Karli was voted for heir!

“Flamboyant Confetti Throw!”

We’re back with the Rads, and it’s time for a birthday! Anne’s becoming an elder, didn’t that come round quick?

If that’s not an insane eye twitch, I’m not sure what it is.

“I don’t want to be old.”

No one does.

That night, Ryker and Karli head to the park. Though this time they went to Oasis Springs for a change of scenery.

Naturally, Karli invited Grayson along – doesn’t he look oddly pale? If this game had vampires, I would be suspicious.

Ryker invited Myla, but she wasn’t that into it, really.

“Hi Myla, how are you?”

“I haven’t got time for your crap!”

“Uh…”

Meanwhile, things are going a little better for Karli and Grayson. A whole lot better.

This makes Karli my first teenager to have a first kiss! Another milestone!

Naturally, Karli was over the moon with how things were progressing.

“So, Grayson, can we be boyfriend and girlfriend now?”

“I think that’s a great idea!”

“Eee, this is so exciting!”

I approve wholeheartedly.

Ryker, however, had found pretty but flirty strangers to hug.

But they were getting on rather well, which surprised me, and seeing as Myla’s not interested in friendship let alone a future romance, maybe it wouldn’t hurt to look around.

Her name is Jaleesa Roe, which makes me wonder if she’s related to Grayson somehow…

Back at the house, and Anne’s home from another long day as a Hungry Artist.

“Mum! I saw Ryker talking to a pretty girl!”

“Is that so, Ryker? Can I expect some grandbabies soon?”

“Can’t talk, need to pee.”

She spends a lot of time doing this, so you've now got a generation of watching her fish.

The next day, Ryker meets up with Jaleesa again.

And I get a proper look at her in the daylight, and I think she’s gorgeous.

Uh oh.

Why are the gorgeous ones always possessed?

Not that Ryker seemed to notice. He ended up feeling Very Flirty and spent a lot of time making sure Jaleesa knew about it.

“Aren’t I just the cutest man you’ve ever met?”

“Something like that.”

“A rose for the lady.”

Seriously, I haven’t seen a romance bar fill up so fast. These two were obviously meant to be or something.

And with that, Ryker lands his first kiss – only about 12 hours after his younger sister scored hers.

I think Ryker and Jaleesa are really cute.

“Jaleesa! I know we only met yesterday, but we’re perfect for each other, and I know you feel it too!”

From the look on her face, I was sure she was going to say no.

“Look at the size of that diamond! Yes, Ryker! I will marry you!”

Did I mention Jaleesa has the Materialistic trait? Best of luck with that, Jaleesa.

“Congrats on the engagement, cuz.”

“Thanks, Anabelle!”

“Now let’s go home and tell my mother!”

At the house, Ryker let Jaleesa go in and meet Anne by herself, while he stood outside pouting and smirking.

“I’m so smooth.”

Evidently, he’s proud of landing a fiancé one day after meeting her.

Jaleesa moved in and got a little bit of a makeover.

Have I mentioned she’s gorgeous? Because she is.

Still been less than 24 hours – Ryker’s really on a roll here. It’s almost a shame he didn’t get a romancing aspiration!

But then I noticed Jaleesa had a romancing aspiration. Maybe that sped things along?

Later that night, Jaleesa met Karli for the first time.

“Aren’t you that little girl who’s dating my brother?”

“Aren’t you a materialistic man-hunter who’s engaged to my brother?”

“Why don’t you like me?”

“I have no idea. I’ve just decided that I don’t.”

Karli eventually disappeared leaving Jaleesa to smile and pose and entertain herself. I think Jaleesa is one of those sims who is aware of how pretty they are.

Oh, and it turned out Grayson is her brother. So I guess siblings marrying siblings is okay…right?

The next day, and it’s Karli’s turn to grow up.

I thought she had more time left as a teen. I think I say that on pretty much every birthday, but whatever.

“Do I look any different?”

Maybe a bit of a fuller figure – she inherited Anne’s tiny waist, as I discovered in CAS later. Despite that, I’m not convinced Karli changed at all.

The next time I loaded the game I decided to switch ageing off and check in on Anabelle. Maybe get her a husband or something.

Turns out she was way ahead of me – with this guy! I don’t remember his name, but essentially he’s moved in and they’re going to live happily ever after.

I switched back to the Rads and had Ryker finally get married. They don’t change surnames in this game, but he would be Ryker Roe now not Ryker Rad.

Both names have a ring to them. Must be the double ‘R’ thing.

And of course, it’s not long before Jaleesa finds herself pregnant.

However, she had the Hates Children trait, and is immediately tense.

“So, Sis, how’s running the legacy going? Did I mention I got married and Jaleesa got pregnant today?”

“You did, Ryker. Multiple times. Congratulations again.”

“Oh man, you’re making mac and cheese? Can I have some?”

“No.”

Jaleesa, I don’t think it’s a good idea to drink while pregnant.

"What could possibly go wrong?"

Leaving Jaleesa to make bad decisions on her own, I sent Karli out to socialise with Grayson. Spouses don’t marry themselves in, you know!

“What do you mean you’re still a teenager?!”

Oh. Well, that might be a bit of an issue.

I sent Karli home after talking to Grayson for a bit. He’s got to grow up sometime, right, so might as well keep in touch with him. He can’t be more than a couple of days off.

Anyway, Alison was out, and giving Ryker tips on what toys he should play with.

“The llamacorn is way better than the clay, Ryker!”

“But look how inspiring this blob of clay is!”

Alison then jabbed herself in the eye with the llamacorn. Even in death, some things never change.

The next morning and Grayson was knocking on the door. I thought it possibly meant he had grown up and come to tell Karli the good news.

“You’re still a teenager? Ugh.”

Karli didn’t even bother talking to him for long, not that it mattered as Grayson wanted to talk to Ryker for some reason.

Karli decided the best place to have breakfast was by the pool. Or is it dinner at this point? The lighting has thrown me off, I can’t tell.

“Are you going to give me grandbabies yet, Karli?”

“Soon, Mum. He’s still a teenager.”

“Still?! Is he EVER going to grow up?”

To pass the time, I’ve been working on Karli’s angling aspiration. And look! Rainbow fish! I think they’re neat.

I only kept one of them for the wall, but still. I like them.

The following day, Grayson had some good news.

“I grew up.”

“ABOUT DAMN TIME.”

“Um? Why are we in the woods now?”

“Can you think of a better place to go fishing?”

Plus Granite Falls is pretty, that’s a legitimate reason for sending these two out into the woods.

“I put up the tent!”

“I put out the fire!”

“What? Grayson, no, we need the fire!”

“I’m sorry, I’m new to this camping thing.”

“Well, I’m a lover of the outdoors, I won’t let the bears get you.”

“You’re cute when you’re confident.”

It wasn’t long before Grayson sank to one knee.

“Grayson are you sure? You haven’t been an adult for a full day yet!”

“Of course I’m sure! Have you seen my aspiration, it’s tailor-made for this!”

True, Grayson has the successful lineage aspiration, which is perfect for legacies!

“Well, in that case, yes! I’ll definitely marry you!”

Maybe I’ll even throw a proper wedding this time, rather than having them elope.

“Come see the inside of the tent, Grayson.”

“Why? It’s just a tent.”

“Grayson. Naked. Tent. Now.”

“OH. Okay.”

“I’m so good at this nature thing!”

Grayson’s a little bit of a goofball despite not having the trait, bless him. I know he’s an art-lover and a bro, but I don’t remember his third trait. I’ll get back to you on that.

Anyway, the real reason these two came to Granite Falls – fishing!

Karli needs to catch 20 different fish but I can’t seem to find more than 13. Ugh.

Oh look, it’s Myla, the girl that was almost Ryker’s girlfriend! Hi Myla!

She kept to herself. I didn’t see her talk to anyone for the entire time Karli was in Granite Falls.
