TS4: The Rad Legacy [11]
Apr. 4th, 2015 12:36 am
I'm at home for three weeks, and so in between catching up with everyone and whatnot, I had a little time to play sims! For the past week, it's been mostly TS1, with a little bit of these guys thrown in. So you can have an update! Hooray!
Last time, we saw the adult birthdays of heir Karli and spouse Grayson, the birth of their final child, Tiffanie, and many birthdays! There was also a cowplant tragedy, Death fishing and ghosts being useful! If you've missed any updates, you'll find them all under the Rad tag.

We’re back with the Rads, where the kids are old enough to cook, but not old enough to cook well!
Everyone has to start somewhere, right?

This is probably the reason Aubree had problems cooking omelettes – she was too busy taking selfies!
She seems to be more into it than Kassidy does.

Speaking of Kassidy, she still has that smug look thing going on.
What does she know that I don’t?

A new day, a new fishing spot.
Karli’s stuck at 15 or 16 fish at this point, and I’m running out of ideas on where to fish.

She was there until the girls got out of school. Apparently it sucked the fun right out of Kassidy and Tiffanie, and so they watched TV together.
Unfortunately, Kassidy doesn’t enjoy the kids network.

“Ugh, Mum, right in my ear!”
And then what should happen but Kassidy’s Young Adult birthday! I thought it was a little while away yet, but I was wrong. Aubree, however, still has five days of teenhood left.

“Look, I’m hot!”
Something seemed different about young adult Kassidy, but I wasn’t sure what. Anyway, she rolled the Romantic trait.

And then using the same cake, because I’m lazy, Tiffanie grew into a teenager.
She looks slightly more confused by the concept of birthdays than Kass did.

Well, well, well! Look who’s gorgeous! I think all of the siblings this generation are uniquely pretty – none of them look quite the same!
Tiffanie has rolled the Master Chef aspiration (ugh, again?!) and the Neat trait.

The next time I loaded the lot, all of the Rads were outside on the pavement.
An odd glitch or are they hinting they want a remodel?

And even through all of this oddness, Kassidy maintains that smug look.
Maybe the ‘hood is about to go kaput and she knows it. Or maybe she’s trying to unsettle me to the point where I do give them a new house!

Tiffanie, however, is less interested.
“Outside for some reason, hashtag lame.”

Once everyone was back inside and settled, I started on Kassidy’s aspiration – to be a bestselling author!
Apparently that meant writing while inspired for an hour, which was easily done.

And for no particular reason at all, here is a picture of Tiffanie hugging Grayson. His baby is all grown up!
Tiff is also the closest to her parents out of her siblings, maybe because she’s the youngest.

Later that day, Twoflower suddenly blossomed into an adult cowplant, and of course Aubree loved it.
Here’s hoping this one stays alive longer.

Aubree felt the key to a healthy life is regular social interaction, and so invited her Mum and Kassidy to hang out around it for a bit.
I never claimed this family was normal.

“Why are we in the park? What fun can you have outdoors?”
“We’re here, Tiff, because I wanted a boyfriend and it wouldn’t hurt for you two to make friends.”
“But Kass-“
“No buts! Friends! Go!”

Death was also out in the park that day, which seems to be quite a regular thing for him now.
He kept to himself, though, drifting around quietly, lost in his own thoughts.

“Hey! Did you know you have paint on your shirt?”
Kassidy sure knows how to capture a guy’s attention.

“It’s the style, lady, grabs girls attention. See, it’s working!”
“I guess so. What’s your name?”
“Not important!”

Not important because this guy then strolled right into the middle of the conversation.
“Bask in the awesomeness of my cardigan, roll-up jeans and cowboy boots!”
“Whoa! Hi, I’m Kass!”

“Um, excuse me? You were complimenting me on my paint shirt?”
“You mean I can’t talk to anyone else while I’m talking to you?”
“Of course not!”
“Guess we’re done talking then.”

Elsewhere, Aubree had somehow managed to bump into an elderly gardener. So much for making life-long friends or whatever.
“So do you have any tips for growing a healthy cowplant?”

Kassidy, meanwhile, had given up on painted-shirt guy, and laid out in the dust with cardigan guy. They could have at least tried to find a grassy patch or something.
“What do you think that cloud looks like, boots?”
“A cloud.”
“Wow, you are so good at conversation…”
Kassidy is never going to find a boyfriend at this rate.

And painted-shirt guy can’t seem to get a hint.

Tiffanie, meanwhile, has decided to talking to people isn’t really her thing, and she’d rather make lunch instead.
Which would be good if she had any idea how to use a grill.
“How hard can it be?”

I’m sure Death moved a little closer, just in case Tiffanie started a fire.
Or maybe he thought he’d have better luck catching a fish in this part of the river. Spoilers: he didn’t.

“Um, excuse me lady, why are you just helping yourself to my sister’s burgers?”
“I should warn you, lady, they might be raw in the middle.”
Aubree and Tiffanie are not the ideal companions for picnics, it seems.

Kassidy, meanwhile, found someone else to talk to.
“Hey! You’re handsome! Are you a farmer?”
“Just dressed for a bit of fishing in the park, ma’am.”
“And so polite, too! I’m Kassidy.”

“My name’s Orlando.”
“It suits you perfectly!”
“Thank you, miss.”
“I can’t take my eyes off you!”

“Also, your hands are so soft! What moisturizer do you use?!”
Needless to say, Kassidy hit it off with Orlando. She only managed to learn one of his traits, and that was Bro.

You know how in Disney movies a couple can fall in love during one song? That’s how it felt for these two.
Okay, not quite ‘falling in love’, but into ‘I really like you’ territory.

See? They’re perfect.
Even their first kiss looks cute!

“Well, Kass might have a relationship, Tiffanie might have a promising career in cooking, and I’m just going to lay back and look at the clouds!”
Aubree and Tiffanie did not do very well on the ‘Make Friends’ goal of the trip to the park, but at least they tried, right?

Kassidy pulls some really mean looking faces.
I was worried she was arguing with him, but it turned out to be part of their conversation, and he didn’t dislike her for it. No idea what’s up with her!

Anyway, to celebrate her newfound romance with Orlando, Kassidy then played in the dirt of a turned over bin.
Goofball trait at its finest, I guess.

“Ah, painted-shirt guy, isn’t life swell?”
“There’s invisible men all around us!”
“Whatever you say, painted-shirt guy.”

Back at the house, and it’s time for someone to grow old.
“Damn, this cake is for me?”
Karli hasn’t quite caught up with him age-wise, but she isn’t far off.

“Am I a silver fox or what?”
Grayson didn’t change much, if at all. I’ve really liked having him around this generation, even if he is quite quiet.

“We all stand together!”
I think we’ll end here, with this terrifying glitch
.
But wait! There’s more! An heir poll! Go vote! Now!
Or tell me your favourite in the comments if you’re not at boolprop.
