Well, uploading each update family-by-family was getting tiresome, and I figured I could put more than one family into an update. So this update will cover both the Lagoon and the Newson families, as they both had quite simple rotations this time round.

Also, it's been quite some time since I last updated, so I'm guessing you'll need a refresher. A full list of all updates can be found here, plus there's who's who posts for generation one and generation two.

With the Lagoons, you’ll (hopefully) remember that Lola is raising her daughter alone on a trailer park after leaving her cheating fiancé. Jace, Rhode’s father, has had little input on Rhode’s upbringing, but he did come over to see her in the last rotation. Jace was also dumped by Jan in the last update, as he just can't seem to keep it in his pants - so he has just moved onto the trailer park...

Here we go!

1

“Mum, Dad just moved into the trailer park.”

“I know.”

“Doesn’t it bother you? He’s flaunting his new girlfriend in front of you!”

2

“Rhode, honestly, no, it doesn’t bother me. It just means he’s failed at yet another relationship, screwed over yet another woman, and this time landed on his ass with no cash.”

“Seriously?”

“Yes, Rhode. What your father does no longer bothers me.”

3

Well. She says that, and then watches him make out with Kaylynn for a bit. I wouldn’t say she’s completely over him, but he drastically altered the course of her life, so why would she?

Also, it turns out Kaylynn kept her maid hair when she moved in with Jace, and I won’t be fixing it until their rotation, which comes after the Rossi family.

4

“Why won’t you hug me?!”

Kaylynn is, however, trying to get to know her neighbours. I’m guessing Jace never mention Lola was his ex.

5

When all is said and done, though, it looks like she might be friends with Jace again. Probably for the benefit of Rhode, right?

No sense in making the same mistake again, right?

6

It looks like Lola might have learned her lesson as far as Jace is concerned, and may be able to move forward in terms of romance.

After a few bad blind dates, turns out Lola’s new love was living next door the entire time. Clarence Phillipine might just be what she’s looking for.

7

And what better way to rub your newfound happiness in the man who originally ruined it!

“I’m sensing a little hostility here…I think I’ll go back to my trailer now.”

8

However, living on the trailer park is not the quiet, hard-working life Lola once had, and now Jace’s new flame has taken a disliking to her.

Of course.

9

But we all know from previous experiences, you do not mess with the Lagoon family if you want to win.

Kaylynn’s learning that the hard way.

10

Rhode, meanwhile, is doing her best to forget about her parents and their drama. Or non-drama, depending on how you look at it. Anyway, she dragged Orlando Centowski home from school with her, and the pair ended up chilling out on the playground.

“Whoa, Rho, your family sounds messed up.”

“It is, but it’s my family.”

“That’s cool, I can respect that.”

11

“You know what, Orlando? It’s really nice just having someone to talk to about it. The girls I know don’t really get it.”

“Really?”

“Yeah…I mean, one of my best friends is my half-sister, and he’s messed up both of our lives…but she didn’t end up here, you know?”

12

“What’s wrong with here? It can be pretty, in the right light.”

“You’re such an optimist, Orli. You know what I mean.”

“Yeah, I know.”

13

“Still, it doesn’t matter,” Rhode insisted, jumping up from the swing, “My Dad may be useless, but I ended up awesome all on my own! Well…Mum helped.”

Orlando smiled, “You are very awesome, Rho.”

14

“You know, you’re sort of awesome too.”

“Only sort of awesome?”

“You got me. Very awesome.”

15

Night fell, and Kaylynn came out to greet Jace home from work. For a moment, Rhode watched them, before turning her attention back to Orlando.

“I won’t end up like him, will I?”

“Of course not. You’re a much better person, Rho.”

16

Rhode took a chance, and stole a kiss from Orlando under the moonlight.

Neither of them were sure what it meant for the future, but all that mattered was that it was right for that moment.

17

Lola came home from work late that night to find half of her daughter’s hair missing.

“What did you do, Rhode?!”

“Well, I’m moving to uni in a few days. I fancied a new look.”

“It suits you, but that’s a very dramatic change. Don’t surprise your mother like that!”

18

The next day, Rhode invited her friends, Alix Cooper and Sonja Tellerman, over to hang out.

Mostly to tell them all about her kiss with Orlando, but also to spend one last day together before Rhode moved to university.

19

20

21

Of course, that meant goofing off on the trailer park for most of the afternoon, which suited them all just fine.

Best friends don’t need fancy hang outs for a good time, afterall.

22

As Alix and Sonja left to go home, Orlando showed up for one last kiss before Rhode moved away.

She, however, had other ideas.

23

“Come with me to Sim State,” She begged, as she finished his makeover.

“Wow, look at that hair!” Orlando looked up at Rhode, “I’m not sure if uni is for me, Rho.”

“You won’t know unless you try, Orli. And there’s always the option of leaving if it sucks.”

24

Eventually, with Orlando convinced that he would give uni a go, Rhode was ready to leave for her first taste of independence.

A big moment for the Lagoon family! I feel like everything’s been leading up to Lola succeeding in raising Rhode well enough for her to go to university.

25

The trailer was quiet without Rhode, so Lola headed over to Clarence’s trailer, a distraction from the silence.

Who knew his apartment was so pink!

26

Eventually, just being inside became too overwhelming for Lola, and so she slipped out for a walk in the moonlight with Clarence.

“You know, I really like you Clary.”

“Gee, thanks. I never would have guessed!”

“You’re silly,” She kissed him again; “I meant I loved you.”

“I know, I love you too.”

27

The last day of autumn brought a new beginning. The plants may be losing their leaves in preparation for winter, but romance and a future was blossoming for Lola and Clarence.

“Clarence, you’ve made the last season seem so much better…would you do me the honour of making my future bright and better, too?”

“Of course!”

28

The rotation ended with Lola’s life completely changed – Rhode was at uni, she had a new partner, and finally, she had enough money to buy her own house on the other side of the river!

No more trailer park living for Lola Lagoon!

Lagoon Win2

As for the gameplay side of things, it was about time Lola had some happiness - I was very excited to see her throwing bolts for her neighbour! I tend to play based on the sims wants, so it's nice to see Lola moving on.

Also, with Clarence's finincial help, they were able to move off the trailer park, which is nice. I don't know what I'll do about kids with these two yet - Lola's nearly an elder, and Clarence is still quite young. They could adopt, but it looks like the population's already beginning to explode! I'll wait and see what happens.

The next family, and the last for this update, is the Newsons! You’ll remember they’re pretty much completely broke, and living in a small and rundown apartment. Of course, they made their situation a little bit more interesting by getting knocked up in the last rotation.

Also, I apparently switched from screencapping to the in-game camera and back again while playing this household - sorry for the jumbled quality of pictures you're going to end up with!

1

Another dawn was approaching, and Emily was making breakfast.

The neighbours had been up late yelling, the springs in the mattress had been poking into Emily’s back, and overall, Emily was just tired of living in the apartment.

2

“Good morning, sunshine! How are you doing today?” Gavin asked, cheerfully. Emily shook her head.

“I want to move out. This season.”

“We could probably have our own house by winter, if everything goes well.”

“Alright. I just don’t want to raise our kids, here, Gav.”

“I can’t say I blame you.”

3

Despite everything, love between Gavin and Emily was still strong, and worth far more to them than the money in their bank account.

They’re so cute together!

4

“Emily!” Gavin called out excitedly, “I’ve found an opening!”

Gavin had finally managed to land a job, which meant onwards and upwards for the Newson family.

5

And it turned out that Gavin was quite good at his job, bringing home a promotion on his first day!

A house of their own was definitely within their reach.

7

Later that evening, Emily went into labour.

Are you as excited to meet their child as I am?

8

Emily’s cries were apparently heard around the building, as many of the neighbours had come over to see what the fuss was all about.

No such thing as privacy in the City Centre Lofts!

9

“Do you guys mind? Like, at all?”

Emily brought a little boy into the world. The name generator was used again, and so this little fella’s name is Ace Newson.

10

It wasn’t long before Emily was feeling broody again.

“Are you sure? Ace is still young; we’re still in the apartment…”

“We’ve got our lives on track now, Gavin. Let’s add another little one to it.”

11

Despite the fact things were beginning to look up, it didn’t change the way things were at the moment.

The apartment building was still full of thieves, sirens still wailed late into the night, and Gavin still had to resort to physical violence to protect his family.

The time to move out couldn’t come soon enough.

12

“Gavin, you look exhausted.”

“No, I’m just trying to concentrate. I need to get my mechanical knowledge up to scratch, otherwise there’ll be no promotion, and no house for the winter.”

“Please don’t run yourself into the ground. We’ll manage, no matter what.”

13

The apartment was barely big enough for the three of them, and the next day, Emily started showing signs of a fourth member of their family.

A house couldn’t come soon enough.

14

With Gavin sleeping off another tiring day at work, it was up to Emily to bring Ace to his birthday cake.

I’m very excited to see this little one!

15

Well, he’s very interesting, to say the least! Who knows how that’ll change as he grows.

Ace has a personality of 7/4/4/7/3

16

“Wow, little man! You look a lot like me!”

I do think Ace takes mostly after Gavin, but we’ll see as he grows.

17

18

The flat is getting pretty gross – neither Gavin nor Emily really has the time to clean it, and it just keeps getting worse!

Also, I don’t know if I ever showed you how cramped it really is – it’d be a real challenge to raise more than one toddler here!

19

Whenever I play the Newsons, I get a window pop up in the corner, usually showing me nothing.

I just found out it’s trying to draw my attention to the thieves passing out on the roof. I definitely won’t miss that when the Newsons leave!

20

Speaking of leaving, by the end of autumn, Gavin and Emily had saved up enough to buy their own home on the other side of the river!

It needs a bit of work doing to it, but it’s a lot better for a growing family!

Newson Win2

Gavin and Emily had *just* enough for a house at the start of the rotation, but with the promotions and whatnot during Autumn, they earned enough to be able to furnish a home and set themselves up properly, which is what I wanted.

Ace is a very interesting kid genetically - I can't wait to see more of him, and of the baby bump!

* * *

That's all for this time, next update will be the Rossi family, and most likely the Macarevich family - if Jace doesn't get up to too many antics!
