Krauss Legacy: Gen 2, Part 1
Jan. 4th, 2016 10:43 pm
Hi! I’m Sam, and this is the second generation of the Krauss Legacy!
In the last chapter, written by Abby, the five babies of the generation had been born, and began to grow. There was also a visit to Granite Falls, and an heir poll! The poll ended up tied between Mila and Austin, and Sammysama7, who was originally supposed to do this generation, chose Austin.
So I intend to follow that decision, and play with Austin as heir. I also intend to keep her generation challenge of mastering five skills.
Let’s get started, shall we?

The Krauss family has arrived safely in my game – albeit some tiny wardrobe changes. A few of the sims came over to me bald, and a couple were missing some clothes, so I’ve sorted them out as close to their original looks as I could.
Everyone arrived pretty tense and grumpy.

Well, except my heir. He seemed pretty chill.
Now would probably be a good time to reintroduce his aspiration and such. Austin here wants to be Fabulously Wealthy (good luck with that), and has the Jealous and Mean traits. He’s still a teenager, so we’ve got one more trait to get.

I made some teeny changes to the house, too, because it didn’t fit on the lot I moved it onto sensibly. Maybe I should have picked a different lot, but oh well.
I rearranged the room, moved the front door, extended the living room, and deleted the kids bedroom – I moved Mila out with all the siblings, so it’s no longer necessary for that room, and the family could do with the money.
I also added a roof J

“She sold our big TV.”
I did. It was worth so much, and they needed the money. I’m sure the family can cope with a tiny TV for a little bit.

That awkward moment when you grow up knowing your father is mischievous, but still fall for one of his pranks anyway.
Really, Austin should know better!

“Austin, I made you a cake for your birthday.”
“You think that’ll undo the embarrassment left by your pranks?”
“It’s a start, right?”

Naturally, Austin doesn’t look much different to his teenage self. His final trait is Ambitious.
“Look out ladies!”

The next thing on Austin’s agenda was to find himself a wife. Legacies go nowhere without kids, right? So it was off to Windenburg to try and find the next Mrs Krauss.
“What a wonderful day! Perfect for finding a wife!”

“Wife hunt, hey? I got what you need – booze!”
“Well. Maybe. As a last resort, right?”

“Booze impresses everyone, dude. See? Look what I can do with bottles!”
“That is pretty impressive, actually.”
“Exactly!”

Eventually, the bar began to fill up, with many of the local women. Some of them seemed more impressed than others.
“He’s a handsome guy.”
“Yeah, for a legacy brat, right?”
He ended up getting to know some of the bar people, for future parties and such.

Speaking of parties, it was time to hold one – for Johan’s birthday.
Austin got himself a cheap DJ booth, and began working on his music. One of his five skills to master, right? J

I’m not sure how much a man about to become an elder would appreciate a raging house party, but it turned out pretty well.
The party won a silver medal, which is pretty rare for my house parties in TS4.

And Johan doesn’t look much different.
Other than his eyebrows not matching his hair. I need to fix that.

As dawn approached and the party-goers began to disappear, Austin got a chance to get to know one of his guests – Candy Behr.
Turns out, they get on really well, and the pair were flirting over old dishes.

“You think I’m cute?”
“You’re freaking adorable and you know it.”

Johan, meanwhile, was passed out on the floor of the living room.
A sign of a good party, no? J

He wasn’t feeling so hot the next day – partying sure takes its toll on the elderly.

“Why does Mila keep inviting me to parties? I am a middle-aged mother, not a raver in my 20s!”
Melanie is also feeling a bit gross after the night before. Looks like it’s going to take a while to recover from this one!

“Austin, are you making another cake?!”
“Well, yeah! Mum’s got a birthday too, you know!”
“Oh plumbbob, not another party…”

"I don't want to grow old! Or party, really. Last night was enough."
Unfortuantely for Melanie, she doesn't really have much choice. Austin's enjoying chilling with his new friends.

Naturally, it was another wild night, with Austin trying to impress Candy with his dance moves.
Probably not the best thing, because Candy is super good at dancing!

Still, she stayed for breakfast cake, so there must be something about Austin she likes. And oh man, look at that TINY waist she has?! o_O
"So Candy, I've been thinking...I really like you, maybe we should go out sometime."
"You mean, rather than just hang out at yours?"
"Well, yeah. We could go for a walk, or a coffee, or something."
"Or I could move in, and we could keep partying!"

And that's how Candy joined the family. I'm pretty excited by her relationship with Austin, if you couldn't tell.
Candy's younger sister, Yuki, also had to come apparently. The plan is to age Yuki and send her on her way.

All of this partying and madness has taken its toll on Melanie, and she's decided to nap.
She's still gorgeous, hopefully both her and Johann are around long enough to meet the grandkids!

What?! Yuki I left you for TWO minutes to check on Melanie!
I've never known a teenager who can't make cake before!

Luckily, Johann was able to save the day - despite Candy stabbing her arm through him while he put out the fire.
I think that's enough for now. I wanted to get a little chapter out, rather than take ages to produce long updates.
See you soon!
