The Rad Legacy: Twenty-Six

Hello again! I two and a half Rad chapters on my hard drive, so it's about time I shared them, right? :)

Last time, there was dancing (lots of it), birthdays, Gwen tried her hand at DJing and Arrietty got pregnant for the third and final time. Gwen and Elsa were still very much in love, Mia was still very much a loner and Erica joined the family. Yep, another girl! Gwen grew into a YA and took over the legay, and got engaged to Elsa. Erica grew into a child, and a wedding was held! At the end of the update, Gwen got pregnant with male!Elsa.

We rejoin the Rads to find Erica joining the same club her older sisters were in.

I was curious about how she would react to the others, as her sisters were polar opposites from each other.




Erica seemed to enjoy playing more than socialising, but she didn’t ignore the other kids like Mia used to.

It made me imagine Erica as a children's author when she grows up. But we'll see :)




Back at the house, and Jairo’s still partying.

Well, his little pixel people are. It’s enough to make you want to play Sims 1, right? :)




That afternoon, Mia decided to play hooky with her friend…Morgan? I think her name was Morgan. We’ll stick with Morgan.

Mia doesn’t look too happy about it, does she?

“She’s got the same hair as me.”




“Why couldn’t we play hooky somewhere more exciting than the MIDDLE OF FREAKING NOWHERE?!”

It’s really hard to impress Mia.




Still, she wanted to impress Morgan it seems, and decided she wanted to cannonball into the pool by the ruins.

Only she failed (how?!) and got a sad moodlet instead, which amused me.




“Okay, so this wasn’t actually a bad idea, Morgan. Way better than maths, anyway.”

“I know, right? Who even needs maths?”




“Are you working on your tan?”

“Shush. Sleeping.”

Apparently the mid-afternoon sun is enough to make you want to nap. Seems a little rude to ignore the friend you’re playing hooky with, but what do I know? I was a good girl and went to class.




Nobody seemed to notice Mia coming back a little late, and also dressed in her bikini.

No consequences to hooky this time. Maybe sims always get away with it?




Stop everything! It’s Pregnant Dance Party Time!




Downstairs, Arrietty and Jairo are snuggling amongst the thousands of MySims statues Arrietty has collected. She’s only missing four (I think) and then she’ll have a full collection – and a completed aspiration.

They’re both so cute. I love these two together, and I’m so glad they’ll be around to meet their first grandbaby.




“I can’t mould anything with this lump!”

Apparently Gwen is the only one not to worship the lump of clay. All of my sims love it usually!




“Hi grandfather-I-never-met!”

“You’re my granddaughter? But you’re blue?”

“I’m part alien!”

“Neat! I love aliens!”




The next morning, Gwen wasn’t feeling quite so perky.

“What’s eating you?”

“I stayed up all night and now I’m in labour.”

“Shouldn’t you go to the hospital?”

“And waste a perfectly good breakfast? I’ll go after.”




Oh man, that baby bump is HUGE.

What if there’s more than one baby in there? I’m not sure there’s enough space in the house.




“Okay, so I’m a little nervous – I’ve heard awful things about these birthing machines.”

“Don’t you worry, Mrs Rad, you’re in capable hands here.”

“Well, if you’re certain…”




Unfortunately, Elsa found the delivery room at the wrong moment.

“Did you just take out my wife’s heart?!”

“Ma’am, can you wait outside? This is a delicate procedure!”




All that drama resulted in another female addition to the Rad family – baby Marina!

And for those of you keeping score at home, that’s twelve girls to three boys!




Not that anyone really minds another little girl around.

In fact, her grandparents are already entirely smitten with her.




Gwen and Elsa decided to celebrate the safe arrival of their daughter by kissing on the balcony.

Which is fine by me, as it makes for pretty pictures - I love the dinosaur :)




"Jairo, we've got a grandbaby!"

I'm pretty sure Arrietty and Jairo are the first ones to be around to actually meet their grandchild. Don't they look happy about it?




So this is a new thing my sims are doing - fanning their mouths when they eat. Is everything too hot? Too spicy? It's scrambled egg and toast, how is that spicy?

Maybe Jairo still hasn't adjusted to human food after all these years on earth!




That afternoon, Gwen was invited to the Bluffs by some girl she barely knows.

So of course she went - everyone starts off a stranger in your life, right?




"Doesn't that hurt?"

"Nah, this is how half-aliens swim."

Somehow, I don't think this woman will be calling Gwen back.




Back home, and Jairo's trying to cook.

He needs to learn that dancing and mixing probably don't well together. Fun to watch, though!




He made a chocolate cake for Erica!

That came round quickly, didn't it? Poor Erica's been ignored, compared to her siblings anyway.




Oh. Okay, well whatever floats your boat, Erica!

She gained the Creative trait, and the Jokestar aspiration - one I haven't played yet!




She got a makeover, and I love her.

I wouldn't be complaining if she'd been voted for heir. :)






Anyway, Erica wasn't the only one to have a birthday - time to elderfy these grandparents!

It's sad, because it means it won't be long until we lose them, but for now, it's nice seeing the legacy progress.




Jairo looks pretty much the same, but Arrietty got a teeny bit of a makeover.

I really need her to find those last four statues if she's going to finish her aspiration.




Gwen decided the best place to eat cake was in the same room as her sleeping wife and her daughter.

Well, she's not wrong. I'm just confused by the fact she's still wearing a swimsuit!




The next day, and there's a child wandering around the house. Marina didn't clearly didn't want to miss out on all the birthday fun!

She got the Rambunctious Scamp aspiration, and the Lazy trait.




With everything changing so suddenly, and her baby growing up so fast, Gwen decided it was time for a new addition to the family. So it was off to Windenburg to see male!Elsa.

"Hey, you! Haven't seen you in a while."

Male!Elsa has a name, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is.




"Is that a flirty potion?"

"Yeah, it just makes this easier. Don't you worry about it."




While Gwen disappeared with male!Elsa, I noticed this lady sitting at the bar.

That's not my usual bald-and-underdressed lady. I must have more than one!




Anyway, we're getting a new member for generation eight!

I'm pretty exicted! Fingers crossed for a boy, right?




Elsewhere, Marina has joined the club that kids in her family join by tradition.

Somehow, she's the only female member now.




"This is boring. I'm bored."

Apparently she's not thrilled by the idea of playing, contrary to her aspiration.




However, she she found someone else who didn't really go in for playing - Max Villareal.

He looks a little bit like a troublemaker, but the two of them are cute together.




And Marina left the park that night feeling quite happy that she'd gone in the first place, which is nice :)
