Krauss Legacy: Gen 2, Part 4
May. 7th, 2016 02:48 pm
Hello again!
This will be my last Krauss update, as my university exams have arrived. So I’m handing the reins over to Cowplant, but not until we have this update!
All the previous updates are here.

We join the family to find Johann struggling with a spoon.
“Well, don’t tell them that!”
Okay, fine, I’ll find something else to look at.

In the master bedroom, Melanie had just woken up from a nap.
“I’m still tired…I think I’ll just lay down for a little longer.”

“Hey Mum, have you seen my headphones?”
“…”
“Mum?”

“If I don’t see it, it’s not happening!”

HEY. YOU GUYS GOING TO LET ME IN?
“NO! You can’t reap her if you can’t get to her!”
UGH, MORTALS.

“Oh man, our blockade didn’t work!”
Death responded to this by looking straight into the camera like he was on a sitcom, and I couldn’t help but laugh.

SO. HOW’S EVERYONE’S DAY GOING?
…
RIGHT, SORRY. UM. I GUESS I’LL DO MY JOB NOW.

“Your cloak is dumb! And the bunny on your belt!”
YEAH, WELL, SHUT UP!

Melanie was gone and so was Death, leaving a cloud of sadness over the entire household.
“I’m too sad to make fun of Candy’s cooking.”

Finn stopped by for a bit, but apparently didn’t care that his mother was gone.
“Dude, it’s been like two hours, stop crying already.”
Yeah, don’t go to Finn if you’re looking for sympathy.

“Isn’t sitting by the pool, and my fabulous shirt, making you feel better?”
“Not really.”
“Well then I give up.”

Elsewhere in the house, Candy had discovered she was pregnant again.
“I can’t wait to tell Austin!”

Austin was less than impressed by the news.
“Couldn’t you wait until I’d mourned my mother properly?”
“It’s not really in my control, Austin. I’m so excited!”

It’s probably going to take more than a sponge to fix that toilet, Johann, but thanks for trying.

Candy, being popular before her life with Austin, keeps getting invited to Windenburg. And despite being pregnant, she agreed to go to Knight Night.
She spent the entire time napping on a bench, leaving me to entertain myself with the knights.

There’s something quite odd about a knight using a tablet.
“Man, this helmet is itchy. I wonder if google has a solution for that.”

“Hail, barkeep! A tankard of your finest ale!”

“I hate Knight Night.”
I feel sorry for the bartender – he looked so unimpressed the entire time!

So yeah, Knight Night was fun and totally amusing to watch – more than Bear Night!
Ten out of ten, would recommend.

Back at the house, and Grandpa’s been using Princess’s doll house a little too roughly…
“GRANDPA! COME FIX THIS NOW!”

As punishment, not only did Johann have to buy her a new one, he also had to play dolls with her.
“I don’t relate to this character at all.”
“Play properly, Grandpa!”

Morning arrived, and apparently it was time for a fight. Turns out Johann had played one too many tricks on Austin and he’d had enough.
“You destroyed my daughter’s doll house! You’re going down!”

Obviously, Johann won – he’s been annoying people and getting up to mischief all his life, he had probably practised in case of a fight!
“Don’t mess with me again, son.”

“No! I want to patch things up with Austin before I go!”
Unfortunately, Johann and Austin never had the time to make it up to one another.

“Omigosh, your father-in-law is dead!”
“Yeah but he was a douche, so…”

“Oh no, should I have said that?!”
PROBABLY NOT, BUT I WON’T HOLD IT AGAINST YOU.

“Candy! The Reaper is here!”
“Yeah, about that, Austin…your father…”
“No! Now I’ll never have that rematch where I win!”

Elsewhere, Princess was online shopping.
Multi-tasking can be a bit weird, sometimes – surely tablets don’t belong in the bathroom?

Apparently no one but Austin was really bothered by Johann passing away, which is a little sad but not exactly surprising.
So it’s off to the park to try and cheer Austin up!

I mean, who wouldn’t smile when they saw this little cutie?
“I’m Captain Princess! No one messes with me!”

Candy, meanwhile, being pregnant, had to nap on a bench while her daughter played and Austin moped.
So much for cheering him up.

Back at the house, and we have our first haunting – it’s Melanie!
She spent most of the night crying in Princess’s bed for some reason.

“Why so sad, Melanie?”
“Have you tried dying, Candy? It’s pretty rough.”
“Okay…fair point, I guess.”
Melanie then went back to crying in Princess’s bed. I’m serious.

“Daddy, there’s a ghost lady in my bed.”
“Not now, honey, Daddy’s trying to eat his feelings.”
“You’re still sad about grandpa?”
“Of course!”

“But he was mean, Daddy. He smashed my doll house.”
“I suppose. But he was fun, too, right?”
“If I say yes, can I have some cake?”

The next morning, to forget his sorrows, Austin goes swimming.
Apparently with his flip flops on, which amused me.

Princess kept watch the entire time, looking sort of smug.
What does she know that I don’t, I wonder.

The morning swim was interrupted by Candy going into labour. Naturally, it bothered Austin more than it did Candy.
“Somebody help! My wife is in labour!”
“Eeeesh, this again.”

“Welp, doc, think there’s anything you can do about this bump of mine?”
“Sure. Will your husband be joining you?”
“I’m not actually sure.”

Austin had disappeared to find himself a snack, rather than support his wife.
“Oh right, yeah, the labour. I’M COMING CANDY!”

By the time Austin got there, Candy had given birth to a boy.
I was stunned, because my game generally likes to throw girls.

“Aw, our little man! We’re lucky to have you!”
“…”
“Hey, that’s an idea, let’s call you Lucky!”

“It sounds like my wife just chose a random word for our kid’s name again.”
Welcome to the world Lucky Krauss.

Back home, it’s time for Princess to meet Lucky.
“I DON’T WANT A SIBLING.”
Yeah, it went about as well as imagined.

“I must exact my revenge for this awful new kid!”
Princess really didn’t take it well. I don’t remember the last time one of my sim kids actually got angry over having a new sibling.

So she took it out on the unicorn, which is probably for the best.
Hopefully she’ll have cooled off by the time Lucky grows.

Austin, meanwhile, has taken up a new hobby so that he can ignore his half of the childcare – the sims.
“Man, I wish I had a heart-shaped hot tub.”
No, Austin, no you don’t.

After punching the heck out of the unicorn, Princess had calmed down, and decided to introduce herself to the newborn.
“So you’re Lucky, huh? Lucky to have me for a sister!”

It wasn’t long before Lucky burst out of crib, indicating the end of my turn, and the start of a new one.
I really did want to play the kids a bit more before I sent them away, but I’ve already taken long enough with my turn, and exams come first.
I hope you’ve enjoyed my turn, even if it was brief! It's been fun, even though I didn't succeed with my generation challenge!
Happy Simming!
