Hello! Who would like some more from the Culpepper Pals? I'm so far behind with updates at this point it's crazy - I'm currently playing Spring 2! I'm going to try my best to catch up to where I am in game, although I am on holiday for a week soon so we'll see what happens.

Anyway!

Last time, Dusty Brows had it all. At the start of summer, she was progressing nicely through the Painter career, and living with her girlfriend Candy Behr. It was blissful. Until one morning when she popped the question out in Windenburg - and Candy unexpectedly said no. This threw a lot of things into question for the couple, and lead to Candy moving out so they each had some space to think things over. By the end of summer, Dusty had made up her mind, and she broke up with Candy. Neither of them had any hard feelings.

Let's see what autumn has in store for Dusty!

Single, Talented, and Fabulous :)

So I played this back in May? Maybe? and I had just gotten Get Famous. Dusty was gaining fame from selling paintings anyway, so I decided to try and make her a famous artist.

Also, when I switched to Dusty's household, it had snowed in San Myshuno.

Because this was before I moved, I was really hoping to avoid snow too much - my boyfriend's computer is a lot more powerful and I'm using that now, plus winter looks awful on my laptop! Luckily, the winter rotation was *just* beginning when we moved in together, so the screenshots look rather pretty.

Thankfully, this was the only time it snowed during autumn. My poor laptop just can't handle it.

Dusty took a break from her easel for some breakfast outdoors - and attempted to make some new friends at the same time.

I have no idea what Dusty is saying, but Summer Holiday does not look impressed.

I also noticed Jo was out for a jog in the background - I definitely would be wearing more layers in that weather, though!

Dusty ended up spending the afternoon at the gallery in the Arts Quarter, as she had a whim to paint there.

I hope you like pictures of Dusty painting because she does it a lot.

The following morning, Dusty headed off to work. This is the only downside of one sim households, the rotation ends up flying by on speed 3 whilst they're at work.

She got a call from Summer that evening - about going to the lounge, because apparently some famous person is there.

I don't think Dusty would give a crap about the famous guy, but it's nice to get her out of the house.

"Is that famous guy hassling the bartender?"

"...I think so?"

"Wow, what a jerk."

Dusty and Summer seemed to click quite quickly, which is nice to see!

I've never played Summer before, but in an old save of mine, Dusty married her roommate, Liberty Lee.

...I don't think that's the kind of stargazing you do in Del Sol Valley, but fair enough :)

Beats asking that celebrity for a selfie, anyway.

By the time Summer left, she and Dusty were pretty good friends. But Dusty's night wasn't over yet...

Candy Behr turned up, looking miserable.

She tried to give herself a pep talk in the toilets, but it just wasn't working. That's when she noticed Dusty was outside.

Despite things being over between them, Candy still greeted Dusty with a kiss on the cheek.

Just like old times.

"Candy...I'd prefer it if you don't kiss me. Please."

"...I'm sorry."

"It just makes getting over you much harder."

"What if I wanted you back, Dusty?"

"I don't think either of us really want that, Candy," Dusty said, taking Candy by the shoulders, "Besides, we're still friends. That counts for something, right?"

"...I guess..."

"I'm really sorry, Candy."

"There's so much life outside of the relationship we had, Candy. Trust me. It'll be okay."

Candy didn't say anything. Dusty gave her one last smile, and headed home.

Dusty was up most of the night painting. I guess she had a lot on her mind.

Another beautiful day...another day for Dusty to spend at work.

I do like how the colours change gradually over autumn :)

Adora dropped by randomly that evening.

"So what's new with you, Dusty? Seen Candy at all?"

"Little bit. Bumped into her, you know how it is," Dusty hesitated, "But I've kind of been talking to somebody new..."

"Someone new?! Tell me everything!"

"Okay, well her name sounds fake right, but she's totally real!"

"Dusty I think girls with odd names might just be your type."

"Well, maybe...Anyway, she's cute and we talk lots, but it's really easy conversation, you know? And she always looks so serious but then she has the best smile and..."

"You know what, Dusty? I think you might need to ask this girl out on date."

"I might. Maybe. What about Candy though?"

"You said yourself you don't want her back! Just go for dinner with this Summer girl, see what happens."

Dusty thought about it over breakfast the following morning.

She eventually dropped Summer a text, and headed out to work.

After a slow day at work, Dusty met Summer out in Newcrest for some dinner.

Summer seemed pleased for the invite.

It's practically tradition for Dusty to draw on the place mat now :)

Also I think it's cute that the place was decorated for Harvestfest, which was the following day.

I have a lot of problems getting them to sit together when they're given a bench instead of table.

The uncontrollable guest just wanders off until the food arrives, which isn't much fun. I'll probably switch the benches out for proper tables eventually, but it's sad because the benches are a nice touch.

Summer Holiday always looks a bit awkward or concerned!

Dusty is a one star celebrity now, maybe Summer's feeling shy on a date with someone famous?

The conversation does eventually liven up, and the pair of them end up having a good time.

"You know what, Summer? You should come over for Harvestfest tomorrow."

"Are you sure? Isn't it a bit last minute?"

"It's fine! I would've been home alone all day otherwise, it'll be great to spend the day with you!"

Shortly after that, Dusty paid the bill - as she's rolling in money now from all those paintings - and they both headed home.

Harvestfest morning was cheerfully spent ignoring the gnomes and painting a masterpiece.

"Summer, you made it!"

"...we literally only arranged it twelve hours ago?"

"Which is even more impressive that you came over! Are you sure you didn't have plans before I invited you?"

"I hope you're ready for a ham dinner! I'm a pretty okay cook, I'll have you know."

"An okay cook? Please tell me you put that on job applications."

"This is great but I just have one question."

"Sure, what is it?"

"Why is your ex here??"

"Oh, she still has a key. Comes and goes as she pleases."

"...Really?"

Candy looked over, "I can hear you guys, you know."

In Candy's defence, she wasn't the only one to randomly drop by.

But Akira lives next door, he probably just smelt the ham dinner and thought he'd try his luck in getting a plateful.

Harvestfest was alright, overall. Not terrible, but not superb.

That's pretty much the story for most of my families - I get bored of playing the holiday like halfway through the rotation, and Harvestfest is probably one of the dullest.

Also Dusty got her first fame quirk - from using her phone too much! Her number was leaked to the press and now she occasionally gets random phone calls and message, some good and some less so. Probably one of the better quirks to have, I think, even if the trolls occasionally get her down.

Another day arrives, and guess what - Dusty is at work all day again!

That leaves me with not much more to do than people watch.

The mail lady is definitely a wannabe vampire!

I feel like her job would be a bit more difficult as a vamp, what with the sunlight and everything.

I also saw this fancy snob man.

What he's doing in the Spice Market, I have no idea. Someone give him directions for Uptown.

That evening was "Night on the Town", so I had Dusty call up Summer so they could make the most of it.

Who's up for karaoke?

Dusty was very happy with her performance, despite her atrocious singing voice.

They didn't stay out much later after that, Dusty was knackered from work.

"Everything is falling into place!"

It really is! She's pretty close to her second fame star, but I doubt I'll get it this season.

And would you believe it, she's off to work again.

I literally see sims dressed like this all the time - what's going on? What's it all about?

The lace vampire gloves are a wonderful addition to the look, I must say.

Candy still pops by a LOT. I really should have Dusty take the key back off her, but it's kind of amusing at this point. Someone might be feeling a little bitter about that break up...

"Dumb Summer girl taking my place..."

Well. Maybe. There's been no actual romance yet. Dusty's taking things slowly with Summer, so winter should be pretty interesting for them.

Being so successful is exhausting.

In the space of this season, she's literally become one of my richest households!

This rando walked in, and then literally walked straight back out again.

Is it a fan/fame thing? Or just some kind of glitch?? Who's to say :D

And that's where autumn ended for Dusty! She's getting famous, getting rich, and maybe falling in love! I can't actually remember what level of the Painter career she's at, but it's going pretty well.

Next family in the rotation: Adora Bell and Akira Kibo :)
