Hello again! It has been awhile since I posted anything sims. Or since I played anything sims! I went on holiday in September, and then I was busy with work and then...well then I got cold/flu for the first two weeks of October. It's been a bit bonkers, honestly.

Anyway, last time, the generation vacation took place! This time the family headed to the beach. There was hot tubbing, Marky Shark, an old boot, fishing...and several dirty plates. Eventually, they all returned home, cast some magic, and our third generation heiress, Peanut, grew into an adult. Peanut immediately got an agent and start gaining fame, with a little bit of magical assistance. At the end of the last chapter, she was a three star celebrity.

Let's see what happened next!

We return to an average morning in the Jones household.

I'm still casting spells in the hope for more magical treats, like beanstalks and ability crystals.

And then it was time for Peanut to head to work. Her limo is white now!

I wonder what level of fame gets you the pink limo I see driving around from time to time??

Never ask me to reach 5 stars without magic, because it just won't happen :)

Although, casting spells in public in broad daylight is apparently a bit of an issue.

There was a fine, and a warning, but overall everything was alright. It did make me nervous, though. I'm sure he takes away your magic if you're caught too many times or something.

After all of that magical drama, it was time to get to work.

At this point she was recording a pop ballad, with the same "guess the pattern" thing as before. I had to play it correctly 8 times in order for Peanut to reach 3.5 stars.

Peanut went back home to recover from a busy morning, and I discovered that fans now drop by to see where she lives, which is pretty neat.

I imagine they're pretty surprised by what they see.

Another day, another trip to Studio Town.

This is where I start to struggle with fame. Instead of getting three tries to guess what pattern they're after, you now only get two attempts - and it's very easy to downgrade a star level. Last time I attempted a five star celebrity, I got stuck in a loop of being demoted and promoted here.

Even so, I love the catwalk. It's just so ridiculous.

Peanut literally only pops home to recover, so I didn't take many screenshots in between Studio Town trips, but hey look! We've got a beanstalk growing!

Fingers crossed it grows large enough to climb!

And we're back to it.

That fashion guy is fabulous. Here's hoping Peanut impresses him!

Well, thank goodness for that, a perfect show!

I've literally never seen it with such a big audience! And with the fountains going off - I think they only work if you guess all three elements of the pattern correctly. In this case it was Couture, Formal, Couture.

And I only know that because I would never be able to do this without a notebook next to the PC to note down the patterns. Fame is hard, guys.

This screenshot was taken on a completely different day. Peanut is so tired of the catwalk, and I'm nervous every time she gives it a shot.

I really don't want a demotion here.

Ooh, my first award EVER!

Peanut is doing well in the fashion world, it seems.

It's business as usual at home.

Magic everywhere and everyone is mildly grumpy because this many sims is hard work.

"Bye Mum, I'm off to get famous."

"Have a nice day, dear."

Finally, finally, Peanut is a four star celebrity! I have never made it this far!

It took eight tries spread over multiple days, but it was still the easiest time I've ever had with that catwalk. No demotions at all! Peanut was born for this !

At this point, the quest for fame had pretty much consumed all of my attention.

I paid almost no attention when Peanut was home, just eagerly waited until the hours ticked by into tomorrow so she could head back to Studio Town. I do like a good sims quest :D

'

Honestly, what even is this game?

Peanut's shooting a dance music video, which for some reason involves riding some sort of space seahorse. The Sims used to be so goofy, I love it so much <3

Time at home is also spent maintaining friendships, because it's so difficult!

I used magic a lot in order to keep her friends. I bet the fans dropping by to take photos had a blast seeing three celebrities at once, though.

Just another day in Studio Town - and another award!

She doesn't have a bronze music award, so this puzzled me a little bit. She just jumped straight to silver? I have no idea. I'll take it though, I love that she's getting them.

Peanut makes a quick trip home for a rest, and to maintain those friendships. I think this guy is named Hugh?

Whatever his name is, they're teasing one another with puppets, apparently. Weirdness is what makes a true friendship, right guys?

The following day, Peanut leaves Studio Town a 4.5 star celebrity! I've never been so close to superstardom!

I think it only took around 6 tries this time too, which is odd. It wasn't easier than the catwalk, but I felt like it took less time.

And when Peanut gets home? Marilyn Monroe just decides to pay a visit!

Please note how everyone except Peanut is in their pyjamas.

Amazing.

How great is it discovering things in a game you've literally owned for years??

You guys all keep your trophies out in the yard, right?

...I might need to think about extending the house again soon.

Back to Studio Town for the final half a star!

She started off by filming a death scene...

...and then switched to filming fight scenes!

This was a lot of fun to watch, actually. Even if I was worried about screwing it up and getting demoted back to space seahorses.

And then suddenly, it was all over.

No fanfare, or anything. Peanut was promoted to five stars. If I'm honest, it was a little underwhelming after all of that effort to get to this point.

So it's back to reality.

In a pink flamingo limo! Finally!

Now that Peanut is a five star celebrity, it's time to take care of other business.

Like the legacy, for example.

Peanut hits Hugh Somebody again with the love spell, as their friendship had dipped a little bit over the time she's spent chasing stars.

What a beautiful lawn wedding <3

Hugh has a personality of 5/5/4/7/4, and is a Taurus. That's the fourth Taurus living here now.

Also at some point, Peanut got her star plumbbob, which makes me very happy.

Nothing like your dad applauding you making out with your new husband, is there?

Joke's on Pickle though...

Tuxedo just tickled Pickle and he peed himself.

I didn't realise that could happen, and I'm embarrassed to admit how funny I found it. The Sims 1, ladies and gentlemen.

You can only make out so much on a lawn before a baby appears.

Here's Peanut and Hugh's son, Blue Jones.

Life went back to 'normal' after that. No more days spent at Studio Town, chasing stars. Instead, days were spent taking care of Blue, and casting spells.

I do love it when this charm backfires and I get donkey sims, though.

There's something about the donkey head in the bath tub that just cracks me up.

I'm sure the donkey faces must be super confusing for baby Blue though.

The next morning, Marilyn drops by again to add to Peanut's trophy case. It's another Simmy award.

This surprised me - it's been a couple of days since Peanut even went to Studio Town. But hey, free trophy. And look how enthusiastic Pickle is about Marilyn's arrival!

I decided to have Hugh give the Price of Fame charm a go, seeing as Peanut had more black roses than I know what to do with.

It backfired, he's too famous for it. And so there were five obsessed fans in the living room for a good while that day.

Also the family got a skunk and had to call animal control, and I just marvelled at how cool the npc is? There's so many little things in this game that make it great.

Hooray for that!

And Blue immediately thinks about himself. I like this kid.

Blue is a Taurus (surprise surprise) with a personality of 5/4/4/10/4

I really like this shot.

I also think the beanstalk has stopped growing, and it's not tall enough to climb :(

There hadn't been a fire in this update until now.

It's almost like a requirement now. "Each chapter must contain at least one fire".

Do you think Blue has any idea how weird his family is?

And I'll leave you with this image of the gnomes taking it in turns to get drunk in the nectar press.

Next time: Camping! Donkey Faces! Magic! Dating!

See you soon :)
