I have had one heck of a day, so I am going to unwind with some more Name Game fun for you guys!

Last time, we saw the Hatter family celebrate Winterfest! The kids played with toys, the toddlers made messes and destroyed snow pals, and there was the usual visit from Father Winter. After Winterfest, there was dancing and birthdays, and all the usual madness that comes from raising five kids. The update ended with the start of a new year.

We rejoin the family just in time for J's birthday - he's joining Alice in adulthood!

Speaking of Alice, she had one heck of a chance card!

The option was fame and sky-rocketing to the top of the Comedy branch of the Entertainer career, and the alternative was nothing changing. I didn't really want Alice becoming famous - she's currently "out of the spotlight" - but I clicked on the fame option just to top the career.

Because she's out of the spotlight, her fame level didn't change, so everything worked out! :D Not that she looks happy about it.

Aww look, Lyndon wants to be like his older sister!

I think at this point, Lyndon had either completed his aspiration or was very close to completing it. He got the Creatively Gifted trait at some point.

The creatively inclined kids do occasionally take breaks to watch the more logically inclined kids.

I can't imagine watching chess is much fun, but someone must enjoy it.

Time for the last toddler to grow up!

Well, the last one this generation anyway. I'll tell you who the heir is at the end of the update.

And here he is!

Edward rolled the Outgoing trait, and was a Top Notch Toddler. His childhood aspiration is Social Butterfly. Another one I've never completed, and if I'm honest, I'm not sure I'll manage it this time. I find it really hard?

Everyone else is at work and school, so I chuck Alice and Edward out into the yard while I remodel the house.

I've been waiting for the toddler room to become vacant so I can rearrange things a little bit.

Apparently I took no screenshots of the floorplan, but I'm pretty pleased with the house.

It has come a long way from Alice's yellow box, and doesn't look like a shoebox! I am not a great builder.

The kids seem impressed by the extension when they come home.

Despite the extension, there's not enough space in the house for multiple projects. So those still take place outside.

Instead of helping his kids do their homework, J is playing video games for work. Totally necessary.

J is an esports competitor now, and I am keeping everything crossed that I can get him to the top of the career. I am not very good at topping careers, so if I manage this it'll be amazing.

Do you think Edward is rubbing in the fact he hasn't been to school yet, and therefore doesn't have to work as hard as his siblings?

Once the projects are done, the kids are left to their own devices again.

The extension means the family finally has a second bathroom, so Izabel is free to poke her eye out in this one knowing there's an unoccupied toilet upstairs.

The extra room also meant that the family finally got a dining table. Well, two of them, to be precise.

I get an unreasonable amount of joy when I see them all sitting down together and interacting.

Is there anything better than the parade of children heading to school in the morning?

It means being able to breathe for a little while. Seven sims is hard work. These guys are the largest family I've played in well over a year.

Of course, time flies by without them, and pretty soon they're all home again.

Cher is pretty close to completing the Whiz Kid aspiration - which apparently involves this lab kit I swear I've never seen before!

I swear life in this house is an endless cycle of naps and homework sometimes.

Cher decided to take a break from science to play dolls with her dad <3

J, you utter goofball.

I know I was apprehensive about this dudebro in the beginning, but now I have a real soft spot for him.

Later that night, Cher and Edward unexpectedly woke up. Turns out I'd forgotten to put a night light in their room.

It has been so long since I last saw a monster under the bed!

J was the parent they grabbed to sort out the infestation <3

The middle of spring, and it's birthday time again!

Lyndon's becoming a teen!

I think he looks a lot like Alice!

Lyndon gained the Foodie trait, and because he completed his aspiration, is Creatively Gifted. So his adult aspiration is Painter Extraordinaire, which gives him the Muser trait.

Looks like the kids have developed a buddy system for doing homework!

Apart from Izabel, it seems. I feel like she gets left out sometimes.

Alice loves all of her kids equally though, so there's that.

Would you believe it, there was an abduction that night and I missed it!

Abductions are so rare in my game, and they never seem to take guys - no alien babies for me! Despite J's face, Alice was shortly returned unharmed.

J got a new toy the following morning.

He was getting super fatigued every time he went jogging, so hopefully boxing will knacker him out less.

Another day means another homework party.

And look, Izabel was invited this time!

Izabel and Lyndon are super close in age, so it isn't long before she becomes a teen too!

Izabel grew up really pretty!

I didn't manage to finish her aspiration in time, so she doesn't get a bonus trait, but her new trait is Evil. No, I didn't see it coming either! I think that's why I went with the pink theme for her aesthetic - cute but dangerous, right?

Her aspiration is Chief of Mischief, which gives her the Dastardly trait.

Now I don't know what I did wrong, but for some reason all five kids came home from school thirty minutes after it started, and there wasn't an option to send them back.

So if they're going to play hooky for the day, we're at least going on a family adventure. Time to head to the beach!

"Abigail, do you have any signal?"

"No, none at all. I don't think we're getting out of this family bonding thing."

Nope! Let the family fun begin!!

All in all, I think everyone enjoyed themselves. And I took far, far too many screenshots. This world is absolutely gorgeous.

The fun didn't stop there though...

The teens are heading out for the night!

There's no curfew in place, so the teens are off to dance the night away in Windenburg.

Well, the girls decided to dance, at least.

Abigail looks like she's trying to play it cool, while Izabel is just...well, being Izabel.

Meanwhile the family Foodie took himself upstairs to spend the night taste-testing juice.

You're a teenager, Lyndon!

I think they had a pretty good night. Izabel was rude to a lot of strangers, and that meant she had the best night ever.

Back at the house, Cher clearly wants attention.

It's been awhile since I've seen anyone making a mess!

Abigail gained some fame for her violin playing, and then lost it almost immediately.

Alice is the only one opted out from fame, mostly because I didn't want to deal with it during the first generation. It wasn't until Abigail gained & lost fame within a day that I realised how hard it is to maintain without actively trying to!

Being an evil kid has its consequences - you have to fix the toys you break.

Parents out at work? Time to play ball in the house.

At this point, Cher had completed the Whiz Kid aspiration - my first time ever - and basically gets to do what she likes now.

It's still so novel to see them all sitting down together! I don't think I'll ever tire of it.

Prank Day arrives, and it's obviously Izabel's favourite holiday of all time. As if she needed an excuse to mess with people!

Izabel and Cher decided to spend the morning stressing Lyndon out by playing ball right behind where he was painting.

Lyndon is also the first teen of the challenge to get a job - as a barista. And he's still sporting that tan from the family beach day.

While Lyndon is busy being a Good Kid, Abigail has learned a bad habit from her evil younger sister - smacking the toy cat in anger.

In Abigail's defence, she's Hot-Headed rather than Evil, but even so. Poor cat.

Another project party!

I'm with Izabel on this one, getting all five done is such a chore.

Let's squeeze in one last birthday before this update ends.

Time for another teenager!

Here she is! Doesn't she look like her Dad? I'm sure there's some Alice in her somewhere, I'm just not sure where.

Anyway, Cher gained the Genius trait. She completed her aspiration, so she's also Mentally Gifted, and her aspiration is Renaissance Sim, giving her the Quick Learner trait.

Cher is also the generation two heir! This was decided long before any of the generation was born. I'm super excited for her generation!

And that is all I have for this time, see you again soon!!
