beanstalk_sims | Culpepper Pals: Winter 2: Titan-Ojo 2 & Brows

Two households in one post, what is this?

As you may have heard, the hard drive where my sims live was accidentally reformatted last month. Rob, my boyfriend, put my sister's hard drive into our tower to reformat it, and then accidentally reformatted the wrong one. The moral of that story is don't do computer repairs at 2am. So originally, I thought my Culpepper Pals save was gone completely, which was disheartening.

And then I found a back up! That I made in January, which meant almost two seasons worth of gameplay was just gone. Again, this was disheartening, but at least I had my sims. The moral of that story is to make back ups more often. Anyway, I told you all what was going on, and started playing through Autumn 2 again and everything was chugging along nicely.

And then I found another back up? On my laptop? And I had no memory of putting it there, but it was almost exactly where I left off before the hard drive incident, which was very exciting. So I'm back, nothing has changed and I don't have to replay the whole of Autumn and Winter!

But I did lose the pictures for two updates, hence this post. I going to summarise what happened in Winter 2 for Titan-Ojo 2 (Oli) and the Brows family, because I can't do full updates for them unfortunately.

It has been a little while since I put any Culpepper updates out, so there's an index here if you need one.

Titan-Ojo 2

Winter 2 marks the beginning of Oli Titan-Ojo's adulthood, and he's striking out on his own in the city! He moved into 17 Culpepper House, Dusty's old apartment, which he promptly furnished with...hardly anything, because Oli was flat broke. So Oli immediately took a job in the Scientist career, starting off as a Junior Tinkerer (L3).

I wasn't really sure what do with Oli at this point. He's very much a lone wolf, and didn't have many friends to speak of - the only person he knew outside the family was Cassandra Goth. So I aged her to a YA so he at least had one friend, which turned out to be the right decision because the pair of them hit it off. In fact, things went so well Cassandra moved in halfway during the season. This kind of solved Oli's money troubles, as Cass came with quite a bit of cash.

Oli and Cass decided to have a big Winterfest celebration, bringing together both of their families, which was actually kind of nerve wracking because David was there with his current girlfriend (Casey Hatter) and I'd forgotten to have him ask Bella Goth to "just be friends". Luckily, no drama happened and it was just a nice day spent together. Afterwards, Oli and Cass got engaged and decided they would get married in the spring.

By the end of the season, Oli had gained a promotion, Cassandra had taken a job as a Critic and gained a promotion too. She's also a spellcaster and gained a level there, too. The couple still live at 17 Culpepper House, and from Spring 3 onwards will be the Goth household, so I don't have to have multiple Titan-Ojo households :D

Brows

Dusty started Autumn 2 off with some pretty great achievements - on the first day of the rotation, she got her fifth celebrity star! I had her go out to Del Sol Valley to put down her star, and just happened to show up in time for the Starlight Accolades, which is where this family portrait was taken. Dusty won an award for one of her vlogs, which was unexpected as I didn't realise she had been nominated. The fact she was there at all was a total coincidence.

Now that Dusty was a five star celeb, she moved her focus from her work onto her family. She spent more time with Tori, and took Summer out on several dates as part of her Soulmate aspiration. Dusty was able to complete her aspiration and gain the Companion reward trait. She also celebrated her birthday, becoming an elder.

Tori spent winter hanging out with her friends and became a Practical Performer in the drama club. She becomes a teen on the first day of spring.

Overall, it was a really productive season for the family, and it was nice to see Dusty focus on her family rather than work for a change. It was a little sad seeing her become an elder, I can't quite believe how quickly her birthday came round!

The family still lives in the Fountainview Penthouse in San Myshuno.
