Time to visit David Titan-Ojo!

Last time, we saw David leave home and start a new life off the grid in Sulani! This included entirely too many glitches, but David still managed to have a good week. He had a few romances, and scored a few woohoos - including one with Bella Goth, who asked him to keep the affair quiet. David wasn't looking to settle down, until he met Casey Hatter. After getting to know one another, David asked Casey to be his girlfriend - the only girl he's ever asked out properly.




So we're back in Sulani, which is looking a bit moody this time of year! It's nice to be somewhere other than the city for a moment, though. A change of scenery!




First thing's first: damage control.

See, when I left David's lot at the end of the last rotation, he hadn't asked any of his romances to 'just be friends', because honestly, they're usually quite easy to avoid. He never really hangs out with them, so accidental flirts were unlikely. Unfortunately for David, Bella Goth is now his twin's mother-in-law! And I was holding my breath the entire time they were all hanging out at Oli's apartment.

So to avoid any accidental issues down the line, and because David isn't a total tool, he's completely calling it off with Bella.




As far as I'm concerned, David is completely committed to Casey. Or at least that seems to be how he's feeling right now.

He's also a pretty committed dog dad. He loves Frankie.




I decided I wanted to make progress with David's aspiration this season, so sent him out for a coconut...and was instantly disturbed by how he eats it.

Just chomping on it? Like it's an apple?!




Later that afternoon, David decides to throw a kava party.

He needs it for the aspiration, but also it'll be nice for David to have people over to his tiny shack. I don't think anyone other than his various romances has really spent any time there.




His house is too small to host, so everyone he knows is just hanging out on the beach.

Which is fine, honestly, it sounds like a great time.




I did see that Marnie was looking pretty angry, maybe she's still recovering from that whole thing with Kaori.




I did take a family portrait of the Titan-Ojos, but I wasn't originally going to include it as it looks a little...socially distanced?! And I'm not loving anything that reminds me of the pandemic...But actually, it's kind of cute in a way, so I may as well let you see it :D

Posing sims in TS4 is so much harder than it was in TS2, I swear.






The sun begins to set, and maybe it's that view or the sea air or something, but things start getting a little flirty.

Oli looks a little alarmed by Cass's attempt to flirt with him, but I'm sure he's into it.




David also decided sunset was the perfect moment to flirt with Casey.




In fact, Casey and David were so lost in their own world, I don't think they noticed that the party had ended and everyone else was gone.

Or maybe the best way to end a party is a swim under the stars.




"Come on, slow coach, keep up!"

"I'm trying. Not all of us have tails, you know."










Can't go for a late night swim with the girl you like and not show her the waterfall, right?




It's exhausting living your best life.




"What's that awful smell?"

I thought Casey might go home while David slept, but instead she stuck around to ignore how dirty Frankie is. It's like his one super power as a dog - the ability to find trash anywhere, and then roll in it.




Monday morning arrived, Casey went home, David paid the bills and went to work.

A very uneventful day, really.




David had plans that evening though - he's out in Newcrest to take Casey out on a proper date.

Apparently no one told Newcrest spring is here, as it was gently snowing when David arrived.






Date night tonight is dinner in a fancy restaurant. I can't remember the name of it at the moment, but I first saw Heather using it and fell in love with it. I think it's one of the Maxis ones.

I think this might also be David's first date ever?




Dinner went really well, in case you were wondering.




I really like them together <3




The following morning Frankie's not doing so great, so he gets to visit the vet.

Kind of unfortunate that David had just dropped a bunch of cash on a fancy dinner and now doesn't have much money.




So Frankie gets a cone. Sorry, boy <3




Anyway, it's knock-off Easter Bunny Day!




David invites Casey over first. He's having the whole Titan-Ojo family over later in the day, but Casey comes over early - because he's asking her to move in with him.

She says yes.




Well, how else do you celebrate moving in with your boyfriend?






Casey joining the family means David gets a much needed cash boost, which is promptly spent on expanding the house & some windows!! And a proper kitchen. I think I got rid of the "off the grid" lot trait around this time.




The family turns up around lunchtime - they're probably the largest family in Culpepper now! I'm kind of excited for the boys to have kids, so I can see Norah with her grandbabies and the cousins interacting!




I also love how Oli came in and immediately started helping out. What a nice guy <3




David's first Grand Meal is of poor quality, but at least he's enthusiastic about it.




I think Norah's proud of him for trying <3




And then Frankie died, which I wasn't expecting.




Happy Bunny Day, everyone :(

I didn't notice that the Flower Bunny was also present for the passing when I played this!




The family stayed late into the night, comforting one another after the loss of their much-loved family dog. Marnie, however, decided to take off by herself and go jogging round the beach.

Spring 3 has been kind of rough for Marnie, I think.




Another glorious morning, and David's spending it cleaning up the beach.




The environment actually started improving as a result of this, which is quite exciting as I have no idea what it does.

I should probably have David summon the island ghosts at some point, from his "Child of the Islands" trait. I haven't had him do that since he was a child, so I actually have no idea what it does.




After a busy morning of clearing up the beach, a lady had randomly turned up. But why is she here? Well...




Meet Lulu Titan-Ojo!!

David already loves her, and I do too.

Honestly my heart melts just looking at her! What an adorable little thing <3




"We're building a proper little life for ourselves and I'm so excited by it all, David."






David spends the afternoon/evening working on his aspiration. I like the Beach Life aspiration, it's not very taxing at all!

At least, it hasn't been so far.

Casey has the same aspiration as David, but she's a little behind where he is.

So we get to through another Kava party!




David and Casey are both quite popular, so their porch was absolutely crammed full of people.




Frankie's ghost even made an appearance at the party.




Spring mornings in Sulani often seem to be grey. The weather always get out better in the afternoon, though.

This rotation is flying by, with both David and Casey working.




That morning, Casey began a flower garden. I just felt like she needed a hobby when David was out, and I haven't had anyone grow flowers before.




Casey also works in the diving career, although something tells me she might not need a wetsuit!




David is still working in the Conservation career, and has made it to level 6 - he's a Conservation Director now.

That uniform definitely suits him.




And when they're not at work, the two of them pass the time by flirting.




Honestly, they just work so well together.




Lulu grew up right at the end of the rotation, she's a very pretty dog!




"David, I don't think Lulu wants to go for a jog."

"What makes you think that?"

"She's literally laying down!"

And that's where spring ended for this little family!




I'm really looking forward to playing these two again next season, but we have a bit of a way to go before we get there!
