I know I'm updating a lot at the minute, but I'm trying to keep up to where I am in game! I don't like getting too far ahead!
Last time, David had a productive season, working on his aspiration and expanding his home in Sulani. He threw a few parties, inviting his family to his place for the first time, as well as a number of friends. He also asked girlfriend Casey Hatter to move in with him. Bunny Day celebrations were kept small, to just David’s immediate family, but this unfortunately meant they were all present for the death of the family dog, Frankie. A few days later, after recovering from Frankie’s passing, David and Casey decided to expand their little family with a new dog – Lulu.

We're back in Sulani, where David is spending Sunday morning swimming!
I really want to redo the house, but Casey and David don't really have enough money for me to build something I like, so I guess it'll have to wait. Or maybe next season I'll do the 'loan' thing I've done for a couple of other families and build them something new.

Anyway! We're starting summer off by doing some things for David & Casey's aspirations!
David had to explore this cave, and it was surprisingly uneventful.

Casey was beachcombing for her aspiration - she's the same as David, just one step behind - but she's mad because a seagull stole whatever it was she found. Naturally.
I live on the coast, that's totally something a seagull would do.

And while David and Casey were being productive, Lulu was finding new and innovative ways to make a mess and become as disgusting as possible.
I'm not sure what it is about the dogs the Titan-Ojos own, they always end up needing a daily bath.

Later on in the afternoon, Casey discovered that she and David would be growing their family later this season.
I'm so excited about this, honestly.

David seems a little apprehensive about it, though.
"We don't have the room for a little one, Casey...or money for an extension..."
"You aren't excited? David you love children...you loved growing up in a large family."
"True..."

"I suppose it is pretty exciting," David admitted, with a grin, "A mini version of us running around the place!"
Casey smiled, relieved, "It's going to be great."

And that's how I got my first ever pregnant mermaid!
I've played mermaids lots of times, but none of them have had families so far. I was pretty excited to see Casey's bump as a mermaid? Is that odd??

Casey and Lulu then both took a nap <3

Lulu is the biggest dog in the Culpepper save, and it has been interesting seeing how interacting with her looks different to the smaller dogs. Lulu gives proper big hugs, it's so cute!

If I ever lose track of where Casey is, I check the ocean first. Sulani really is the best place for this little family, they're so happy here.

Is that supposed to be bioluminescence? Or pollution?
I was recently learning about bioluminescent waves, so it was really neat to maybe see it in game. I'd give anything to see it in real life - but I think it's one of those things where you have to be in the the right place at the right time, unfortunately.

Frankie's ghost is out! This is really exciting - Jo's cat, Snickers, never haunted!
So now I have two dogs upset that the food bowl is empty.

Monday morning, and David is already at work. And Casey has decided she's having grilled fruit for breakfast, which sounds pretty good to me.

Lulu found a puddle in the bathroom, and just wouldn't leave it alone. So that's why she needs daily baths.

Norah was invited over that evening, as I imagine she's the family member who would be most excited by the prospect of another toddler.
"Oh Casey, I just felt a kick!"

David didn't get to spend much time with his mother, he was pretty busy.
"Lulu, babe, if you could stay clean for more than twelve hours, I'd really, really appreciate it."

Another morning arrives, and Casey is spending it cleaning up the ocean.
The environment was improving last time I played them, but I guess a week away reset it to being gross? Maybe?

I also had Casey summon a dolphin, just because.
I was reading a legacy recently by someone just sort of exploring the game, and they were super excited about the dolphins, which kind of reminded me I hadn't summoned one in a while. It's really nice watching people discover things in this game.

The Titan-Ojos really do have the most laidback, chilled out rotations. I love coming here.

That night, I had Casey start up a club for mermaids (creatively named Team Mermaid btw) as I thought it might be nice for her to have some friends she could relate to.
Some random townie gatecrashed without even really realising, which was pretty funny. He's got his little snorkel, he's ready for a swim - an honorary mermaid.

There's far more mermaids in this save than I realised. Paka'a Uha is also in the group, no idea where he disappeared to, but even so. I'm sure there's more mermaids that I didn't add into the club.
It was really nice seeing them all together, though. <3

David has definitely done a 180 on the baby thing - he's super excited for this little one, even if they aren't super set up for it right now.
The two of them are so cute together <3

Good morning everyone!
Hugs for Lulu, and big stretches for Casey - pretty sure today is the day we'll meet the little one.

They were not up long before needing a nap. I guess neither of them slept very well.

That's the look of someone who just found treasure for his aspiration!
He's nearly completed it now!

It's baby time!
I'm so excited to meet their little one!

It's a boy!
Meet Riley Titan-Ojo!

Naturally, Riley was immediately aged into a toddler, as is tradition in this save.
I have absolutely no idea where his skintone came from. But he's a mermaid like his Mama - or he will be, when he becomes a teen.
Riley is also got the Charmer trait.

David immediately set about teaching his son how to make decent sandcastles, an important skill when you're living in Sulani.

They are going to need an extension soon, though. I had to put the living room furniture in the inventory so I could make way for Riley's toddler stuff. Thankfully this family is very outdoorsy and doesn't use their living room very much.
Definitely adding "sort out the house" to the to do list for autumn!

The following day - Thursday, I think - Cassandra was invited over with little Danny so that the cousins could meet.
I love being able to have toddler playdates!

Riley and Danny got on really well, which was super cute.
These are the first ever Culpepper cousins <3

Cass just loves letting her son mess up whatever place they're visiting.
I kept a pretty close eye on Cass while they were here - she's a Kleptomaniac, and David and Casey have several Sulani treasures on display in their home. I kind of wanted to make sure Cass didn't take any - or make sure I saw it so I could return them later if necessary.
Thankfully Cass didn't take anything on this visit.

Danny continued to wander round, getting into things he shouldn't.
So what was Riley up to while Danny was making messes?

Chilling in his kiddie pool, of course!
So, so cute! I'm really enjoying this baby boom, and having a bunch of toddlers again!

Later that night, long after David had got back from work, he hopped up on the lilo and fell asleep.
Which completed his aspiration! David now has the Laidback trait.

The following morning, the ocean was full of mermaids again - Team Mermaid has dropped by for a hangout!
I'm definitely going to have Riley join when he's old enough.

That afternoon, the entire Titan-Ojo family was invited over to meet Riley - I really enjoy getting them all together.
And look at Lulu - she's excited about it, too!

This is also Luna's first visit to David's home!

Norah loves her new grandson <3
She needs four grandkids for her aspiration, so we're halfway there.

David is the best uncle <3

Norah helping Riley in the pool <3
This update is mostly just cuteness, I hope you're okay with this.

Have I mentioned lately that David is definitely one of my all-time favourite sims? Because he is <3

It's the last morning of the rotation! Time just flew by.
One thing to mention that I didn't have a picture to go with it - David got another promotion this week. He's now an Ocean Observer, working on the Marine Biologist branch of the Conservation career!

Saturday morning was spent doing all the usual fun things.
Isn't Riley just the cutest little thing?

I've also decided I'm not going to plan Riley's future at all.
I guess I don't plan too much with this save, and nothing is ever set in stone, but I do have a vague themes and ideas for each born-in-game member of the Culpeppers. Sort of an idea of where I'd like them to go as they get older. For Riley, I'm going to leave it all up to him - I'm not planning anything, we'll be completely going on his whims.

Right now, of course, it doesn't mean much. Riley's busy being playful and cute, learning his skills and loving his family.
But it'll be pretty interesting to see what life has in store for Riley.

Look at that tiny crab <3

And that's all summer had in store for the Titan-Ojos!

They're such a cute little family, and they're very nice to play. I'm planning to finish off Casey's aspiration next season, and redo their house.
But we have more of this rotation to get through first! See you next time for the Goths!
