Well I meant to put this update out last month but I did a bunch of overtime and had my new kitchen fitted instead...anyway! I have a bit more free time now, hopefully we can make it to the end of the rotation soon! A word of warning, this update is quite long!!

Last time, we saw Dolly’s first season alone – and she definitely made the most of it! Most of the season was spent working on Dolly’s aspiration – every night was spent seducing guys in bars. Things changed a little when she met Diego Lobo, who just seemed to understand something about her the other guys had missed. After a few days, Dolly decided it was time to stop pursuing random guys in bars, and time to put her energy into one relationship – the one she was building with Diego. She and Diego moved in together towards the end of the season.

We rejoin the couple at their penthouse in the Fashion District.

Their home is so big and spacious I struggle to fill it & make it look good. I'm used to smaller homes! And less disposable income! They don't actually spend too much time at home this season thankfully, but next I might need to look at some inspiration for their home next season!

So how are Dolly and Diego spending their Sunday? They're going bowling of course!

Dolly decided she likes bowling as a result of this, so I'll probably have her form a bowling club or something at some point.

"Diego, what is that technique you're using?"

"Hey, be fair, this is my first time. I did not grow up with a bowling alley."

"Honey, no one did. They only just built this one."

"Dolores, did you see that?! I actually hit something!"

"Well, I think it might be time for me to quit my job and go pro, Dolores, I'm clearly a natural."

I don't remember who won the game, but after bowling the pair of them went home and Diego grabbed dinner from the food stall.

Poor boy is embarrassed because he can't use chopsticks properly.

Dolly tried to reassure Diego, but I was distracted by the random lady walking past who decided to cheer them on??

Anyway, they went home for more privacy.

Or as much privacy as a hot tub on a balcony in a city full of skyscrapers allows.

It was time for Dolly to have dinner after that and unfortunately she's all out of plasma packs.

Naturally my simself happened to be wandering past and ended up as a snack.

Persephone, from Heather's Paraneighbours, also happened to be walking past and was pretty spooked by how close she'd come to being a vampire snack.

Persephone has been in the city a while now, she must know vampires regularly haunt the Fashion District!

Well, I guess you can come use the computer, seeing as Dolly used you for food.

"Thanks, I have like three Culpepper updates to write."

Dolly left their guest downstairs and found Diego in the kitchen.

"Guess who drank from a human!" She declared, sitting next time, "And who now feels terrible!"

"Dolores," Diego said, softly.

"If it makes you feel so bad...why did you do it?" He asked, "We can afford the plasma packs, that is not an issue. Why do you drink from other sims?"

"I don't even really know," she admitted, "Maybe because I've always been told not to. And it is so much better than plasma packs...I really am a monster, aren't I?"

"Come on, let's go get some fresh air."

They ended up by the pool, watching the lights of the city around them. Dolly smiled at him.

"I do feel better, weirdly," Dolly said, "There's so much going on around us in the city...it's almost like one small slip up doesn't matter. Almost."

"Actually, I have been thinking that maybe it would do us good to get out of the city for a bit," Diego replied, casually, "I don't know, perhaps Sulani for a few days? Just me and you and the ocean."

"That sounds pretty magical, Diego."

"Then that's what we'll do."

So Monday morning came and that's exactly what they did!

They've rented a property on the edge of Sulani for a few days <3

The pair of them wandered the neighbourhood around their rental home for a bit, and discovered that they really were on their own. The peace and quiet was a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city.

"Sulani is absolutely breathtaking," Diego said, taking her hand, "I love it here."

"And I am really grateful I get to share it with you, Dolores."

"Diego..."

"I've been thinking, Diego...I want to share everything with you."

"Dolores!"

"Diego Lobo, will you please marry me?"

"Of course I will!"

His little smile <3

Their engagement was based on their whims, but Dolly also needs to get married for her aspiration soooo two birds with one stone, I guess!

After all the excitement, Dolly nipped out for supplies - can't have a beach front property and no lilo!

Diego also needed a jet ski. Genuinely needed it.

Kirby called that evening to gossip, something about Bonnie of all things?

Dolly held off on telling her about the engagement. That felt like face to face news.

Careful with those knives, Diego!

Maybe Dolly should give him a bit more space when he's cooking!

Diego goes to bed and Dolly does this with his jet ski...!

Followed by a light snack.

I just hope she has enough packs in her inventory to last the entire trip! I didn't think to stock up before they left.

I took far too many shots of them just relaxing the following day. Sulani is just way too pretty.

It was really chill to play, but it means there isn't much for you guys to look at.

He had the whim to chase off the birds, because of his hot-headed trait, so I obliged.

Not that the low poly gulls seem bothered at all! If anything it made Diego angrier.

Dolly tried to calm him down with some sand sculptures and kisses - and it worked.

I love these two together <3

Tanner looks very happy with the spot he chose to chase his tail in. Diego less so.

The sun set on Tuesday after another day of relaxtion, with more of the same planned for Wednesday, only Mother Nature had other plans...

A storm began in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and it was a big one.

"Bad news, Dolores, the forecast says the rain is due to last all day," Diego said, a touch of sadness to his voice, "And the house is not exactly well-equipped for a day indoors."

Dolly considered this for a moment.

She smiled at him, "Maybe we should just head back to the city a day early."

"And maybe we could invite your family over," Diego replied, taking her hand, "Tell them of our engagement."

"Maybe we can even start planning a wedding."

"Sounds like a good plan."

So by sunrise on Wednesday morning, the couple were back home.

Don't let that little smile fool you, Diego just decided at this moment that he dislikes cooking.

Which is a bit of an issue given that Dolly doesn't eat so never cooks. Good luck with that one, Diego!

Looks like it's storms all over the map for Wednesday!

Can't outrun the rain!

Despite the weather, Dolly's family is invited over Wednesday afternoon.

"...so we're engaged! And planning to marry before winter arrives!"

"Dolly! That's wonderful news!"

Caleb is also thrilled by the news.

The rain cleared up enough to give the city an absolutely gorgeous sunset <3

Thursday morning arrives, and it's also Spooky Day.

And what is spookier than woohoo in a coffin? It didn't actually fulfill the spooky activities part of the holiday tasks, which I feel is a shame. Looks like the couple will be carving pumpkins afterall.

Pumpkin carving followed by hot tub woohoo, of course.

How else do you spend halloween spooky day?

That night, Dolly and Diego throw a spooky party.

Their home is massive and it was a lot of fun decking out the main room for the party! I really should do seasonal decor more often.

I'm not sure what Bonnie's costume is, but apparently it involves tipping the contents of the fridge out onto the floor.

And then Friday morning arrived and Dolly & Diego were away from home again.

Yeeeeah I bought the wedding pack. But not straightaway, I got it later on after the 'repair' patch dropped. You'll see how well that went for me.

Anyway, I felt that if anyone was going to have a destination wedding it would be these two, so it was kind of perfect timing.

It's an absolutely gorgeous world, I'm going to have to do something with it other than just hosting weddings here.

Do they just go places and make out?

Yes.

So after a morning of sand, sea and relaxing, all of which they did just a few days ago, it's time to tie the knot!

Such a gorgeous place <3

And I'm really glad bouquets are back!

But buckle up, because this like the only good shot I got of the entire thing.

Okay, I lied, Bonnie made a good flower pal.

But:

Tears of joy? Or tears because literally none of them paid attention to her big entrance?

I think Caleb was the only one who even reacted?

Bless him <3 he loves his family

And this was the actual ceremony.

Over half of the chairs were a total waste of time.

"So...marriage?"

I had to start the ceremony twice because the first time it dropped out of their queues.

This bit was really sweet <3

Just don't think about the guests milling around behind them randomly <3

Aaaand then they threw rice everywhere except over the bride and groom.

I haven't actually seen how this properly works yet, maybe is this just how they do it.

Rather than going back up the aisle, Dolly and Diego decided to take a shortcut through the chairs - and the occasional guest who was still sitting down.

Just beautiful.

First dance? Better face the opposite way.

Honestly I had the best time watching all of this play out. I should have been mad that nothing worked but it was just hilarious watching the glitches and problems stack up.

Mr and Mrs Lobo though <3

Aaaaaand Bonnie took the first slice of cake. Before the bride and groom could cut it.

Honestly, that might not be a glitch. That might just be Bonnie being Bonnie.

Oh, so now you all sit? At the wrong alter, no less?

What are you even waiting for??

Thanks for the lumpy wedding, EA.

The twelfth Culpepper wedding. It certainly was a memorable one <3

I think it says a lot that the best pictures I got of them were taken after the ceremony!

I had a great time. For all the wrong reasons, but even so.

The newlyweds spent their wedding night in Tartosa in the hot tub. Naturally.

Saturday morning, the last day of the rotation, and they're back in the city.

And Diego's having wine for breakfast (he had the whim). After the wedding he just had, can you blame him?

In fact, he spent all morning working on his mixology skills because he wanted to.

Dolly spent the morning playing with her fishies <3

And then it snowed? Winter is definitely on its way!

...an odd sentence to be writing in June, actually.

Dolly's family are invited over for the afternoon, just in case they hadn't seen enough of each other the day before.

The snow turned to rain mid-afternoon...

...and then back to snow by the evening?

And that was where autumn ended for the Lobo household!

I had a great time visiting these two this season, I have no idea what winter has in store for them!

One more household to get through and then autumn will be over! And we have someone new joining the gang in winter, but more on that later!

See you next time, with the Ember family!
