Hello again! I've been slowly making my way through the rotation, trying not to get too far ahead of where I am with updates. But my keyboard kinda stopped functioning properly after I spilled tea on it, so that was a whole thing.

Anyway!

Last time, the family started the autumn off with some house renovations and a pregnancy announcement – straight down to business with the Titan-Ojos! David’s extended family was invited over and the cousins were given a chance to play together. David became an adult and Casey managed to complete her aspiration while pregnant. Riley celebrated his birthday, and the following day gained a sibling – a younger sister, named Samantha. The family also celebrated Bonfire Night with David’s family. David also got promoted.






The family is still reeling from the loss of Norah.

Whenever I enter a lot with a grill on it, someone is always grilling - only this time David is doing it while very sad.




Still, life must go on.

It's Sunday, so naturally the kids gather and the house is overrun with children for a while.




Casey invites over her mermaid friends as evening arrives...which was when I noticed she had the option to "announce engagement"?

Excuse me? You two were not engaged when I last left the lot!




What I'm guessing happened is one of those phonecalls while I was playing another household - sometimes they'll ask about babies, or dating, or whatever. I hadn't thought they had any impact, because Neighbourhood Stories are off...

I guess I was wrong. Lesson learned.

So I guess we're having a wedding this season!




Monday morning arrives, and even though it's still early, Lulu is already on her second bath of the day.

Puddles are some kind of magnet for Lulu, she will find them and roll in them until she's filthy.




Elsewhere, Samantha is starting the day with a book.

It's a big day for Samantha actually...






It's her birthday!

We'll just pretend David didn't burn the cake, right?




It's also a big day for other reasons.

I figured, why wait? The family could use some happiness. Let's hold the wedding as soon as possible!




So Samantha is a flower pal on her birthday, bless her! Throwing petals...from an invisible basket.

Riley got the role of ring bearer, looking very cute and dapper!




And then Casey made her way down the aisle, and it was time for the main event!

Now if only their family would remain seated and not keep switching seats.




"David...I know this isn't ideal. I know you never envisioned a wedding day, let alone one without either of your parents..."




"Casey, I love you. Both of my mothers will be with us in spirit, don't you think?" David paused for a moment, "And what better way to honour their memory, than by getting all of our loved ones together for a happy occasion?"

"David," Casey said, softly, with a smile, "I love you so much."






The kiss cracked me up, not gonna lie. Of course Casey was the one dipping David.




Mr and Mrs Titan-Ojo, everybody!




I feel like the rice throwing went better than last time I tried it.




And then it was time for the first dance.

I had I Would Do Anything For Love on while I was typing out this update



I didn't actually take too many posed photos of this wedding, just one of the immediate family.




Things got a bit more casual and relaxed after the dance and the photos, when the party spilled onto the patio. It's such a beautiful location for a family party.




Just beautiful.




I think the boys preferred it once the guests had gone home, actually.

Not that I blame them.




Tuesday morning, and Lulu is back on the hunt for puddles. She's successful.

I like how Samantha totally minds her own business. Dog needs a bath? Not her problem.




David repairs the sink while Casey gives Lulu her bath.

David's at work, the kids are at school, the chores are done and Casey doesn't have work until the evening...

...so this is how she spends her day.






The kids brought their cousin Ana home with them from school, and I figured "why not make it into an extended family gathering"?




It was only this rotation when I realised that David and Oli married women with similar names - Casey and Cassandra.

It's a good thing I never had David shorten Casey's name to Cas, it'd be way way too similar to Oli and Cass!




Samantha and Joslyn really hit it off on this occasion <3

I love it when the kids all get along!




What a fearless child!




The siblings all gathered in the bathroom for some reason?

The most sims thing ever.




Overall it was just a really chilled out evening and I had a great time playing it.




Wednesday morning.

The only hint of winter you see in Sulani is the gloom - no snow here, thankfully!






This is how Casey spent her time.

The days really fly by when most of the household is out.






They're just a very normal, very functional family.

Which is fine to play, but doesn't make for very exciting updates.




David and Casey were up late flirting, as per usual...




...which made David's whim of wanting to flirt with another woman the following morning seem very jarring.

Honestly, I didn't know what to make of it. I've been trying to let their whims lead my gameplay more, but this did seem to come out of nowhere.






Well. I had him meet up with her. This is Mele Kahananui.

I still don't think I'd fully decided if I was going to have David go through with it at this point.




But I gave in. He flirted with her, just the once.

And his next whim?




To start a fire.

No more romantic whims popped up. He didn't even get a romantic relationship with Mele from the one flirt.






Instead, he went home to his wife.

Maybe that'll be the last of that. Maybe he just wanted one flirt, just to see. Just to make sure.




Jeez, what happened to you two today?




If I ever can't find Samantha, the first place to look is the ocean. She'll be a mermaid when she's older, so I guess it makes sense.

She also decided she likes fitness this season.




He just follows her round the house now. <3

Yeah, I think things will be fine from here on out.






Friday morning arrives, and Samantha's spending it lost in a book.

A book first thing seems to be turning into a bit of a routine for her!




With everyone out again, I figured maybe it's time I give Casey something to do.

She likes gardening, so I decided to roll with it. And gave her a new aspiration, seeing as she completed her first one - Freelance Botanist.

I really like the new garden!




She was doing a touch of woodworking too, but then decided she dislikes handiness.

So that was that.




David's home - with a promotion no less!

He's now level 9 in the Marine Biologist career.




Samantha brought Joslyn home from school with her again, and they were both energised which meant plenty of hip bumping!




Riley didn't bring anyone, and chose to hide out in the tree fort making art.

He's so close to finishing his aspiration!

Saturday morning, the last morning of the rotation, and it starts with a birthday.

Casey's an adult now!






Totally normal birthday activities.

Please note Samantha reading again, bless her. She really took that Bookworm trait and ran with it.




By sunset on Saturday Riley finished his aspiration!

He's now Creatively Gifted!




And that's where winter ended for the Titan-Ojos!

A very quiet week, actually, all things considered. Even with the wedding and David's whim.




It'll be interesting to see what the new year has in store for this little family - Riley's due to become a teen in the spring, and I do wonder what kind of whims David will have.

But we'll have to wait and see for all that. Plenty of winter to get through first!
