beanstalk_sims | Generation Portraits for Wrongway

In my original 'hood, before the rebuild, I had three portraits hanging on the wall, taken with the artist camera. There was one of each generation, so a portrait of Liam and Ash, then one of generation three, and the generation four portrait. I don't have those in the new 'hood, and I miss having them.

So I'm looking for a tutorial on how to recolour objects. Any suggestions?

And because I've already shot the pictures for the walls, I felt the need to share them! There's the three existing generations, and the fifth generation...if you like being spoiled. I mean, you have the option of looking at the picture, because it won't really give much away about the story of the generation, but still. The choice is yours.

Also, warning: They haven't been resized yet. So they're kind of on the big side. Sorry about that.

Liam and Ashley

First up were Ash and Liam. They both got a tiny makeover - I've no longer got Ash's original jeans-and-hoodie outfit, nor Liam's open shirt and jeans. But they still have a look along the lines of their original appearances. I also tried to make the backdrop look like the house at the time - the legacy house did actually have this sliding for ages. I've only just realised I don't like it.

Elizabeth, Grace, Eli and Alice.

Generation three saw a few cosmetic changes - I no longer have any of Elizabeth's original CC, nor Grace's original hairstyle. Elizabeth had to go through a complete makeover, hence the new look. I tried to keep it similar to her old style, but it's a bit difficult. I couldn't decide on anything for ages. As for Grace, she just got to keep the hairstyle she has now. Eli changed a little bit - his hairstyle is now maxis match, not the slightly more shiny one I originally used.

The house sliding had turned to this really nice green one by that point.

With this picture, I wanted to capture Elizabeth's frustration and anger towards her family. I'd have preferred Eli to be smiling, but he just wouldn't, for some reason. So Eli is brooding over the situation, while Grace keeps up appearances and grins. Alice is just too innocent to realise what's going on with her older siblings, it seems.

Lavender, Rose and Forrest.

Again, slight changes, like Lavender's top, Rose's hair and Forrest's clothes. Rose got books, because she's been strongly linked to stories and imagination since she was a child. It fits in with the whole Wronglands storyline, too. Forrest gets the crazy arms pose, because he's a lot of fun to play, and was always up to mischief. As for Lavender, she's coming across as shy but happy. If anything, Lavender is definitely loyal to her family.
