Couple of Questions

beanstalk_simsSo I've started playing a prosperity just for fun - I don't really take pictures, I don't play to tell a story, and currently, I have zero plans of sharing it like all of my other projects. I might just spam my journal from time to time - you're cool with that, right? xD
I have a couple of questions about things like rotations and stuff, generally because I'm curious. Currently I'm playing my rotations seasonally, in a set order - the Quartz family, the Berry family and the Kick family - which seems to be working okay, but it's got me wondering what will happen if I get bored of a certain family. I can't just cut them out of the rotation or shorten the time I spend at their house.
Then there's uni. I'm looking for a hack that shortens uni - I know there's one out there, I just don't know where - but that means I have to come with a system of who gets to go to uni. At the moment, I'm thinking it's going to be sims who roll a want for college, have good grades at school, and a certain number of skillpoints, which I haven't decided on yet. But I'm curious as to how the rest of you decide who gets to go.
That's about it for my questions, but I have some pictures of a rotation at the Quartz household, if you're interested. The Quartz family, by the way, has only three members - Ross, Amber and Emily Quartz. Amber is struggling to get pregnant. Seriously, every single time, she's been unsuccessful.
Emily Quartz started out as a toddler but grew up in the first rotation. And I think she's gorgeous, truthfully. She's quite a lot of fun to play!
And she skill builds all on her own, which is nice. I don't like forcing my children sims to skill. If they roll wants for college as teenagers, then I'll get them to skill until they reach what I deem is the required amount. Who knows, Emily might be the first sim of Idle to go to college!
Ross, meanwhile, is cheating on his wife. He's a fantastic father to Emily, but a really bad husband to Amber. Not that she's noticed. This is Louise Kick that he's wooing, too. He has three bolts for her, surprisingly enough, which is more than he has for Amber.
To be honest, I don't remember the last time I played a sneaky romance sim, so it's been kinda fun and an experience. Though I'm convinced Amber just doesn't want to catch him.
That's it. Told you I wasn't really taking pictures! Generally, I just wanted a couple so I could prove that I'm still playing my game behind the scenes. But I have way too many projects to do anything more with my prosperity than just occasionally get you to squee at my adorable sims, even if I wanted to. xD
