Fixing Borked Faces

As many of you know, there's a couple of borked templates in the game, and while there are fixes for newly created sims, the already made sims are kind of screwed.

Does anyone have a tutorial on how to fix face templates? 

I know there is a way to do it, involving SimPE, but I didn't want to just jump in blind and start messing about. Any help would be appreciated; as it looks like I'll have to fix three of my Sim State sims.
