The Summers ISBI: Gen 1, Part 3
Mar. 12th, 2013 08:47 pm
I'm back again!
I've played this challenge a lot, so I have *another* update ready.
And the next one is nearly ready, too - I've played ahead in game.
Anyway, last time, lots of babies were born. Flora, Hazel, Henry, Alexia and Amy.

We rejoin the family to find Muriel aging into an adult.
And luckily, she didn't have a midlife crisis! Hooray!
As recommended in A Berry Crazy ISBI, I kitted out all the non-controllables with sleeping bags.
Do they use them? Hell no!
Also Henry passes out with his eyes open and it scares me a little.

Plus these guys would rather stand around talking about how they're tired than do anything about it.
Like daughter, like father here - they're both sleepy AND stinky.

Phoenix managed to get a nap in before heading for the carpool - he hasn't missed it once so far!

And all the kids made it to school.
Though the school bus looks a little empty. I wonder if there are any other kids in the 'hood, actually.

With everyone else gone for the day, Muriel has to age up the twins by herself.

This one is Alexia. From here on out, she'll be styled with long-ish hair.

Meanwhile, Amy has short hair.
That's the only way I could tell the difference. Although, looking back, it seems that Amy has Phoenix's nose, whereas Alexia has Muriel's.

Hazel would like to remind everyone she's the Queen of this place, because she isn't green and is therefore special and the best.

Passing out, because sleeping bags are for chumps.
He did eventually get up off the floor.

But Flora passed out in his place.
She didn't stay there very long either. Maybe the stereo was on or something.

Henry, however, managed to find his bed this time! And began having nightmares about water.
Having a hydrophobic sim makes bath time amusing.

"Can't sleep, too hungry."
Honestly, Phoenix complains a lot, but always manages to sort himself out. He's pretty neat like that.

The next night, Henry decides coming home is too mainstream, and spends his evening on the playground.
In the rain. In his formalwear.
He's a strange child.

"I hate my life. It's just so busy."
Meanwhile, with the kids otherwise occupied, Muriel works on that LTW. I only need her to top two skills, it's taking forever.
Stupid family, needing lots of attention.

Flora grew up straight after logging off the laptop.
Time has flown!

And here she is! She got a haircut. Quite an extreme haircut.
I think she's pretty :3

And she's pretty good at taking care of herself!

And she taught Amy how to walk! Which was useful, I suppose, because no one else was going to do it - I just randomize the traits anyway, so it seemed kind of pointless to make an effort.

Henry found the costume chest, and makes a rather adorable dinosaur.

Please don't ask me to confirm which is which at this point. I *think* Amy is in the top picture, and Alexia is in the bottom, but I am not sure. Stupid near-identical twins!

I love this kid <3
Is there a better time to clean than when you're dressed as a dinosaur? Because I don't think there is.

How to Tell the Twins Apart 2: Childhood Edition
This one is Alexia. How can I tell? She has long(ish) hair.

And this one is Amy. I don't think she's featured in this update not wearing this costume, so that's fine, right?
When the other girls are dressed as royalty, they have yellow crowns. That's how I remember the difference between Amy and Alexia when they're both dressed up.
Well, I think I made that sound sufficiently complicated.

Also, five kids mean a hell of a lot of booby traps. Poor Alexia here was on the business end of a shower dye trick - but most of the booby traps are set up on sinks and toilets.

This is Alexia. She's dressed differently to Amy, but still wears the same princess outfit as Hazel.
At least I can tell her apart from her twin!

Alexia's so regal that she pees on the carpet and then passes out.
Oh dear.

"I'm the only king, therefore I have the most power!"
Seriously, I swear the kids never do anything else.

"MUM! Hazel's hogging the laptop!"
"MUM! Tell Hazel I'm the ONLY QUEEN!"
"You're all royalty to me! Now, everyone go to bed!"
They didn't. They continued to wander around dressed as kings and queens.

"My back hurts."
"Being undead is rough on us all, dude."
Apparently, it was also full moon. Which meant crowds of zombies.

Literally crowds.
"Well, you lot can complain as much as you like, I'm going to take a bath."

"How DARE you booby trap the sink!"
"Come on, Mum! Everyone booby traps the sink! It happens like six times a day!"
"But this time, I caught you!"

Hazel is clearly unimpressed that Alexia has the same Queen outfit as her.
Royal Fashion is a big deal, afterall.

"Hey Henry, wanna stay up all night having a water balloon fight?"
"YES!"

The next morning, Flora set fire to kitchen and Muriel had to come running home from work to put it out.

But two of the girls caught fire. And there's only one shower. And I can't control either of them.
Gulp.

I had no idea children could die in TS3, as I'm pretty sure they can't in TS2 (or at least, not from fire). Flora found the shower first, but it seems Amy burnt to death.
And Death had to stand in the most awkward position possible.

"I'm the worst torch holder ever!"
And I'm the worst player ever.
A kid DIED D:

Amy doesn't look that bothered by her death, though. She even shook the reaper's hand.
"Now I can be a princess for all eternity!"

Aaaand Henry is evil, so instead of crying at first, he cackled.
He cried later, though.

I feel really bad about Amy dying.

That afternoon, we got a new fire alarm.
"Where were you twelve hours ago when we NEEDED you?!"
We've named it the Amy Summers Memorial Alarm. ; )

Time stops for no one, and that night, Hazel and Henry grew into teens.
For some reason, Hazel went first.

She's 100% Phoenix, but I love her <3

Henry grew up straight off the toilet.

Those eyebrows really go well with his Evil trait! Henry is going to be our next torch holder.
Anyway, that's it for this time. Livejournal is making posting an update sloooow so this is it.
See you next time!
